My 240D will not start!

When I turn the key nothing happens! It has been sitting for awhile now but the lights and radio still come on. Any idea what may be the problem?

Do you have a volt meter? If so connect it and ensure it reads 12 volts. Could just be a bad starter ground so while you are there pull off the terminals and clean them real good with a wire brush.

Let me know what you find and if that got it going.

Are you turning the key clockwise?

Damn... Some people dont even know how to start a Mercedes! LOL

It reminds me of the times I get pulled over in the Benz and the cop spends 10 min. trying to find the vin tag. I used to tell them where it was at, but quit because they would always ask me if I moved it or if the vehicle was stolen. Now when I say nothing I have to wait longer, but they just try and play it off like they knew it was there all along with no hassle.
