Mr. King - More than just a customer!

Building engines requires more than just a good mechanic, machine shop and quality parts. A good engine also requires a good owner.

I can not say enough good about our customer Mr. King whom lives in Tennessee. Through his entire build he faced many time consuming adversities and took them all in stride, insisting on putting quality before time lines. Towards the end he even brought up his own crew of guys to help finish off the build.

To my surprise Mr. Kings friends would prove to be much more help than I ever anticipated. These boys dug their feet in and made for a spectacular weekend here at Auto-Trend!

I have enclosed photos of Mr. Kings engine that we built last November 2007. When looking at the photos you should know that much time was needed to produce this engine. To put things in perspective it took 4 guys working 24/7 two days to finish the build and that was even after several months were taken to get all of the parts in order for final assembly weekend.

We hope Mr. King will let us know about how the installation went and show us some photos of the engine in the vehicle. He has also done some really good work with the fuel system and may have some pointers for you about long tube headers on 93-97 Camaro/Firebird.

Nothing like late night motor building with Rex. Back in 1999 we built my Mustang and it still kicks ass to this day. I got the same pistons in my engine, the TRW forged flat tops. Back then he did not have any of the fancy stuff he has now.
