I found this link on MSN that goes into great detail about when each city was considered to be in a recession.

Appears that Detroit has been in a recession since 2005, so they say. But its amazing to see how big that list got in 2008/2009!

2005 and 2006 appears to contain all of the places that I live in and around.

I hope that since we were the first to be considered to be in a recession, that we will be the first OUT of a recession.
