Official List - Cars turned in for the CASH FOR CLUNKERS program.

Here is the official list of all the vehicles that were traded in under the Cash 4 Clunkers program.

Cars like the Aston Martin, Many 1000's of Mercedes and high end vehicles all made the list!

I sure hope that in another 10-15 years the values of some of these vehicles make the owners feel as stupid as they are.

Sometimes you have got to ask yourself, who is to blame? The dumb asses that are in charge or the idiots who put them in charge? I think both.

My dealer did more than a hundred clunker deals.  One that was traded in was a really nasty rust bucket old piece of shit Mercedes.  Every time I drove past it I thought of you Rex.

It is unfortunate that some poor schmuck didnt take care of it. I can buy them all day like that for $4000 less than us tax payers paid for them (In distress). The wonderful part is that some wrecking yard will tear it down and make a bunch of free money selling off the parts. The government could have processed all these vehicles or at the bare minimum sold them off to re-coupe the loss, but that would have been work.

Its nice to know you assosiate me with Mercedes, even if the only one you regularly see is a rusted out Cash for Clunkers trade in.

I must be honest in saying that every time I have driven in my PowerStroke Diesel, I have not yet once thought of you.

Maybe thats because you dont own one. LOL biggrin

My dealer is right next to a Mercedes dealer, but none of the shiny new ones have ever made me think of you Rex

Man thats too bad....

I guess thats because you know that I am a conservative that would never subject myself to something overpriced, rather I wait until such time as the enjoyment of such things could never be overshadowed by the burden of cost.

I dont suspect you to understand, however it does not explain why you work on Ford Diesel trucks for a living, yet you do not own one.

I must thank you however, because I have been putting off my purchase of a W140 S600 V12 Mercedes Benz because I felt it may be a form of abandonment with regards to my W126 roots. Now I can see that it is nessisary to prove to everyone understands that my being in a Mercedes is because I am a REAL mechanic, unlike you dealer winnies who couldnt fix a sandwich.

I own a Gasoline powered Ford truck, and I fix them too-just not as often.  Does that count for anything?

Yes it does.

It proves that as much as you defend the PowerStroke engine, you yourself would never own one. Likely because it would break you, like the many others whom you have seen broken.

I would still like to see a photo of your GAS engine truck in the Ford forum. Dont be affraid, we wont rip on you for the rust. Now I cant say the same for your pink paint job, however everyone must be a little diffrent.

I hate to say it, but if true, I agree with you.

Two very nice DOCH M119 V8 Engines pissed away with the glass solution. What is worse is that WE PAID to perform such things

When have I ever defended the Power Stroke engine?  All I ever did was question your compentency when it comes to repairing them.

For the record, I like 7.3's and wouldn't mind owning one, but I don't currently have a need for one.  6.0's I would generally avoid unless it had all the known problems fixed.  6.4's Seem to do alright, but the fuel economy sucks so I doubt I'd ever buy one of those.  From what I hear about the 6.7 coming out next year... The one Ford built in house rather than buying from Navistar sounds like a great engine but still needs to be proven for a year or so in the hands of actual customers before I make n opinion about it.

I too am very curious to see how the new Ford Diesel engine will do.

I wonder if they have learned from all of Internationals mistakes? Might you have any prototype images or information about them? If so post them up in the Ford forum, I would be interested in checking them out.

Yes, that and the chassis as well. Their is so much to the 500E other than the M119. We finally agree on something. smile My 500E sits in my garage and gets the royal treatment. I just start it once a month and work it through the gears. Only comes out on special occasions.

Mercedes-Benz M119 as found in the earlier Mercedes with Bosch Mechanical/Electrical CIS Port fuel injection

Mercedes-Benz M119 as found in its race cars, with Coil pack digital ignition and ALL the bells and whistles.

And to think some cock sucking faggot run liquid glass thru the internals!

Slumping car sales aren't due to a lack of demand this time, it's due to a chip shortage. In this situation a mass taxpayer purchase of used cars for the purpose of scrapping them will only make cars even more scarce. I'm not on board with it.
