Someone needs to recall CONSUMERS REPORTS!

There can be no doubt that Consumer Reports is nothing but an Asian propaganda outlet.

I remember back in the 1980's and 1990's I would read their crap, but now days they have missed the mark so often that NO-ONE could deny they are paid for their reviews. Often times the people they employ to test the products (If they even really bother to test them anymore) could not afford any of the higher end units that they often times slam. There is no doubt in my mind that the people at Consumers Reports could not be trusted for an un-biased opinion.

The low class, low paid losers that have to rate the automobiles wouldn't know a thing about luxury, and their constant praise of Toyota brand automobiles or anything Asian for that matter is so blatant that no one I know even bothers to read consumers reports anymore.

I did however read a recent biased article from Consumer Reports that was mis-labled "5 cars mechanics love to hate". It wasnt until I got half way thru it that I noticed Consumer Reports was involved, and as I suspected all the top 5 cars were Asian, and the bottom 5 cars were all vehicles that were over $200,000 more than their top 5 contenders.

So to Consumers Reports the 5 cars mechanics hate most are-

Toyota Yaris
Honda CRV
Lexus LS 570
Honda Fit
Scion Xd

And the 5 cars Mechanics love the most are-

Jaguar XF
Audi A6T
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
BMW 135i
Mini Cooper

Now as a mechanic I can tell you first hand that I have serviced WAY MORE Toyota Yaris, Honda CRV's, Lexus, Honda's and Scions than any of the other vehicles they listed. Hell I always see CRV's coming in with rotten brake lines, frames rotten thru and belching oil from every orifice. The Toyota Yaris is always good for a timing belt and a water pump. And Lexus could not hold a body trim panel on to save their life! Not to mention if you need brakes or other such service, you better be prepared to bend over.

I guess they have realized that people are on to Consumers Reports, and thus they want to label their ratings differently by saying "Hey mechanics hate these cars" as if to imply they don't break down, when in fact they are full of shit. I myself would not want to see a brand new Jaguar XF because of the simple fact the vehicle would be a pain to get parts for, require much more time to work on, and let's be honest, when is the last time you seen a Jaguar XF roll in the bay? Hell I have never seen a Mini-Cooper yet! Mercedes and BMW, well okay, they need service just like the rest of the 8 cars.

What Consumers Reports DID get right is that Mechanics do hate the vehicles they listed, but for a different reason... That reason would be that no mechanic would want to own a Toyota Yaris, or an ugly Scion. A real mechanic would not want an upgraded Toyota... er I mean Lexus... They would want the real deal. And as far a Honda? Cmon! Give me a break! I would not own any of their vehicles unless someone gave it to me, or sold it so cheap that I could flip it for some cash.

Although as a mechanic I can say one thing is true, the 5 vehicles they have listed as cars that Mechanics "Love", are all vehicles I would be more than happy to have in my driveway.

Consumers Reports is a joke. Someone needs to recall Consumers Reports!

Japanese automakers top Consumer Reports rankings

Total BS if you ask me! As I mentioned above Consumers Reports must be owned by an Asian company, since the top three included Toyota; a company that has recalled more cars over the past two years than anyone else.

Guess that's two things I would never buy. An Asian car and Consumers Reports.
