Is that like putting the cart before the horse?

Not quite sure I understand this whole "King Ranch" thing, were they some sort of custom coach builders back when vehicles were pretty much horse and carriage?

Just marketing strategy ...The King Ranch was a ranch that has success in cattle ranching on land that was apparently called waste-land at the time. They're trying to say that Ford's F-Series truck have the same "Running W" leather that was made at the ranch used in their line of trucks.

Okay... Well what is this "Running W" leather that you speak of? I know these King Ranch trucks do have a unique hide leather interior, but I'm not understanding what you mean by "Running W".

Hey folks,

The original Texan ranch owner had the initials of KR, & it was apparently too difficult to make iron stamps of these initials to brand the cattle's asses with, so he settled for what was termed the "running W" iron to brand his cattle with...If you check out the center arm-rest inside an F-250 truck, you'll see the logo that SELLC is questioning. No more information is available I'm sorry.

It's just a marketing tool being used by FORD to ensure that it's customers know that the leather found in their trucks, comes from a historically known ranch in Texas, & not some poor slaughtered camel in Iraq, Iran, Syria, or Afghanastan, or where-ever bombs are being dropped of late...

Later,

Rastus

Well that's pretty cool! I do like the leather found in the King Ranch, it really does complement the truck well.
