Should we ban automobiles since there has been an uptick in automotive related homicide?

I have been watching the news lately and been wondering when Democrats will start calling for automobiles to be banned because of all the recent homicides involving people using an automobile as a weapon....

Not that it really matters much anymore, since most all new cars come GPS tracked and fully controllable from remote. It's rare to see a traditional power steering system on anything made now days, and I am sure things like this will make a case for further implementation of such systems to prevent your average nut job from being able to drive into a crowd. It will be like a traction control button but with a few bodies thrown about to disable the feature that uses infrared to avoid collisions with pedestrians. Or maybe they will have that feature under lock and key to disable the passengers air bag?

Either way, it's only going to be a matter of time before Democrats will ask the question...

Is it the person driving the car responsible or the vehicle itself? If you ask Democrats, based on their position on gun control, it's the vehicles fault!

The future of our fossil-fuel-powered piston vehicles seems numbered too, with electric propulsion making big inroads lately.

I would want to asses what the electrical-radiation given-off from driving these vehicles is actually at. It would not surprise me to learn that the environment benefits, but the occupants suffer electrical-radiation exposure. Our bodies function on the basis of minute electrical impulses sent from the brain. Interference from the electromotive-forces may over time mess with our bio-rhythms etc etc. No BS.

As for the protesters, the answers actually simple, & you'll gain better protection of the citizens, by having PERMITS issued to close-off designated areas & streets for protesting. With this idea, you leave an outer-perimeter of a combination of adjoining streets that enclose the protest, & leave these streets closed to local traffic only. This is also where you station Police etc to check that the through traffic is local only....

Any suspicious activity will then be bound to people on foot, or armed hiding somewhere...( Sad hey ?).

These automatically-controlled cars SELLC, I can't really see any benefit to citizens, since hackers can do what they want, when they want it seems. They may well hack into an innocent persons vehicle, & guide it straight into the next protesting crowd of people. Bad idea IMO to have these vehicles in service.

The democrats may try to find the path-of-least-resistance possibly, but surely everyone realizes that remote-controlled-cars are just asking for Major trouble ?... Never ever have 100% faith in electronic systems !!!!! Especially ones that you're not in control of....

The person in the "drivers seat", who may own the vehicle, & be in possession of its keys, will always be held accountable of an incident until proven other-wise.
