Typical Ford Nazi behavior - suing John Cena for selling his own vehicle!

Fords just filed a lawsuit against John Cena today for selling his own vehicle!

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/john-cena-slapped-fraud-lawsuit-ford-020007507.html

Apparently Mr. Cena purchased a new Ford GT, and after having it for awhile decided to sell it... And who could blame him! Who wouldn't be disappointed with a $500,000 supercar that only had a V6 engine in it!? It's a joke considering the Ford GT hasn't done shit at the lemans since the legendary GT-40 and for Fords to disgrace the once legendary GT-40 with their politically correct pollution control V6 isn't Mr. Cena's fault! If the car was so spectacular as Fords "thinks" it is then this wouldn't even be an issue!

That brings me to my next problem with Fords... The idea they feel it's OKAY for them to control who buys their cars and their contractual BS that would see a customer who pays $500,000 for a vehicle not be able to sell it is also complete and total BS! It's more or less a way for Fords to control who gets one, and prevent other people from being able to test the car and give reviews that may contradict Fords ridiculous claims! Letting Ford get away with this only jeopardizes everyone else in the future when Fords tries to force other "regular" car buyers into similar types of contracts...

I think John Cena has an obligation to counter sue Fords and make as big of a deal out of this as possible so the whole world can see just how Fords operates and how low down they really are! Regardless of the reason why the vehicle was sold, it's obvious it did not live up to it's legend if someone who purchased it sold it right away. If it was all that he wouldn't have even considered selling it, and even if he sold it to make money - it was his prerogative!

Such ridiculousness..

And FYI -

GM Never did this to people who wanted to purchase the new C7 Corvette - even in race trim! Nor are they doing it with the new ZR1 and I doubt they would even do this nonsense when they release their newer mid-engine V12 Corvette in 2019.

Chrysler never did this when they sold the Hell Cat or the Demon either! And the Demon does a 1/4 mile in under 10 seconds right out of the box!

Yet Fords seems to think they are such hot $hit they can force people to sign a contract to keep it, even after paying a half million dollars for the car!? WTF is that!?

Anymore Fords is just worthless to me... I was considering a Mustang at one time but this kind of BS just reminds me why I steer clear of Fords... Anymore it's not enough that you have $500,000 to purchase a car... No, that's not enough! Ford's wants to make sure you lie to people when it fails to perform or you decide it's not worth the money..

Reading this really bent me out of shape... The nerve of Fords!

And while I am complaining about it...

How can a publicly traded company be allowed to sell vehicles this way? If Fords want's to create some special club of vehicle owners for their exotics they shouldn't be able to prance these exclusive hand picked cars and their owners around under the Ford blue oval!

Celebrities aren't permitted to endorse a product without stating if they have an interest in the company or are being paid to promote it... There seems to be serious contractual conflicts at play here, the least of which would be Cena's paying for a vehicle then having Ford extort him to own and give his blessings to the car - even before he took delivery! Never mind the contract read that he was required to keep the vehicle for TWO years! What if he purchased the car and was totally dissatisfied with it!?

I hope Cena takes Fords to bat on this! Nothing worse than having the money to buy something and having some company thinking they are king $hit to the point they feel they can control who buys their products and how long they must agree to own them, especially on things like Cars! It's not at all democratic! It's low down!

I don't disagree. I think it was a stupid contract from Ford, and Cena was stupid to sign and breach it.

Way to distribute blame equally PowerStroker! lol

Still, it's not exactly what I consider "good business" on the part of Fords to pick and choose then force people to keep the cars for 24 months.

I mean what if the Ford GT is a total POS and grossly underpowered for the money? Would Cena have still had to claim to like the car and parade around in it?

At what point does Fords have to realize that if they are building "street cars" they have to offer them up to everyone who has the money, not just the people

who meet their "popularity" standards. That's just wrong and Fords really needs to get over itself.

The Ford GT took 18th place in the Lemans, aka dead last... but they won the "street car" class which won them 18th place right behind the "real" race car

that lost Lemans. The idea that Ford is no longer engaging the top tier races and is instead only focused on making money and swindling people is a

serious problem... But they have no problems trying to make people believe they won Lemans, rather than take 18th place for failing to enter in a "real"

race car to compete in the "real" Lemans.

The Ford GT was built to honor the only REAL champion Fords has ever had - the original Ford GT-40... I think this homage does nothing but tarnish that

legend and use it as a means to turn a quick buck, the customer be damned. My two cents.

I'm a little more concerned about the tax reform package that is on a track to become law. It will likely create some short term stimulus, and then a big crash. A crash that will be ever harder to pull out of because about the time it happens, is about the time people like us end up paying more in taxes than we do now, and people like trump get a big sloppy wet kiss that we pay for.
