That's some pretty fancy equipment you got there! I'll keep my ear to the ground incase anyone is looking to have some work done.

You should start a thread about that thing, show us all the stuff it has made. They say these 3D printers are already making parts for space missions, and I am sure the potential is there to really make some cash on reproductions.

How easy is it to replicate something?

If it already exists as any type of 3D model, its just a file conversion, maybe a little clean up and print.

if no model exists, then I just build it in my 3D software. I have been doing 3D work professionally since 1989. Yes, you have seen my work already. Hundreds of shows and movies, thousands of commercials. The printing thing is still in its infancy, robust enough currently that I decided to exploit its potential. Most of the pioneers had a huge learning curve in both 3D modeling/design and in materials handling/print settings/process.

There is huge potential to ride this wave to some interesting and incredible places.

Surf is up! (Queue The Ventures..)

Good mornin, folks!! Beautiful day here for garden prep work. I live in an apartment, but I have a nice rock patio outside my windows. I have bird feeders and  container garden every year. Gonna get a little grill to set out with my chairs and table. Trellis and Sheppards hooks too.

Anyways, happy good Saturday to all!!

I am currently working on a project that might be of general interest to the forum regulars (non-DHers).

i am currently redoing the front logo plate and logo for a Ford F-350. Identical size, shape and logo, just rendered out of different materials and a different color scheme. As the original is flat-ish with a curvature to the outer surface, this one will be more like f a pronounced 3D effect with the script looking Ford logo actually being extruded to look stronger.

i just printed a test of the logo, and its spot on for the original. Photos will follow.

Sorry I missed you guys this morning, I went on a cruise with the Corvette this morning from Detroit to Ann Arbor... It was a beautiful sunny day and I only seen one other Corvette on the road.

I am so much happier now that the weather has been in the 70's! After a long winter you start to go a little crazy being indoors so much.

Im talking about the blue oval in the middle of the grille. Silver logo covered

in a clear polycarbonate. The one were making is a black oval with raised white logo.

Yep, if this works well, then i can make anything custom. How would you like to replace it with a Savage logo in the oval? Or a red, white and blue oval? Or an AR?

Well the morning routine has already been a little different as I usually check to the CE&P section to catch up on the drama...

This morning I visited just to see if it was still down, and yes... it's still down.

Good morning!

Things been pretty busy the past few days, just incase any of you were wondering...

Things aren't looking much better this week either, but at least this utopia hasn't been spoiled by a bunch of whining Liberals, yet!

Not sure, but even on Dh they were MIA for several days - even weeks at a time... At least in the CE&P section.

That's good to hear! What forum is Cup hanging out on?

I didn't care for her liberal views but she was a fixture on the DH CE&P forum so it's weird not seeing her brand around anymore...

She sure was upset when learning that DH was closing, like most of us.

Clarity,

The name is the-zocalo.com. I don't recognize many - it must have been started by the folks on the dating site.

yeah Cupocheeer is on Zucalo, so far she isnt acting wingnutty as she was on DH.

So is that the real citylights that joined or a fake?

she has a distinctive style of posting so it will be easy to confirm if its really it.

has anyone been on Mingle2, Ive seen a few posters there, and its not a busy as I thought it would be

Zucalo isnt busy at all and I think its forum opinion is next to dead, Ive seen more action at a bingo hall.

lets face it there will never be another DH forum with no moderators that the libs and conservatives can join and battle it out.

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Got my flag down at half staff until noon and even got my timer fixed... I thought I was doing myself a favor buying one of them fancy digital timers but could never figure out the backwards logic to program it. Half the time it wouldn't work! So I went back to the old school turkey timer kind with manual push buttons for the time on and off and now my problem is solved!

Hope everyone has a great day! Thanks to everyone for having everyones back!

i went lazy, as I just finished some nasty antibiotics and did not feel like cooking, not really the cooking, more like the cleaning up after. Lol

i am gonna be busy fiixing some seriously fucked up scenarios for the near foreseeable future. I already have a plan, and it has passed the friends test. Now, just need to work the plan. Wish me luck and a little help from the almighty himself, I am gonna need it.
