Scott Pruitt Prefers Fancy Silver Fountain Pens At $130 A Pop

If you thought Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitts expenditures couldnt possibly get more ridiculous, guess again.

The Washington Post on Friday reported that the EPA purchased a dozen silver fountain pens from a jewelry store in Washington, D.C., featuring the agencys seal and Pruitts signatures. The cost to taxpayers: $130 apiece.

The pens were part of a $3,230 order in August from Tiny Jewel Box that also reportedly included personalized journals.

The cost of the Qty. 12 Fountain Pens will be around $1,560.00, an account manager at the jewelry store wrote in an email to Millan Hupp, Pruitts head of scheduling and advance. All the other items total cost is around $1,670.00 which these items are in process. Please advise.

Yes, please order, Hupp responded that same day. Thank you.

EPA spokesman Jahan Wilcox defended the pen purchase in a statement to the Washington Post, saying they were made for the purpose of serving as gifts to the Administrators foreign counterparts and dignitaries upon his meeting with them.

The expense comes as Pruitt faces a whirlwind of corruption accusations and ethical scandals. While pushing for sweeping budget cuts at the federal agency, Pruitt has been seemingly loose with the taxpayers dime

In April, a government watchdog found that Pruitt broke the law when he spent $43,000 to install a soundproof phone booth in his office. Other questionable, high-end expenses include non-commercial and first-class airfare and an unprecedented security detail. Several high-ranking officials at the agency were reassigned, demoted or opted to leave after expressing concerns about pricey office furniture, as well as requests for a bulletproof SUV, a 20-person security detail and $100,000-a-month charter aircraft membership, as The New York Times reported in April.

Pruitt has largely pointed the finger at his own staff at the agency he runs.

Im having to answer questions about decisions that others made, Pruitt said in an interview with the Washington Free Beacon this week. And thats not an excuse, its just reality.

We all need to have something to be fascinated with!

What was Obama fascinated with PowerStroker? Sending his wife on fancy solo overseas vacations at tax payers expense?

 Yo,

Our European ancestors ( & us ) have been raping, pillaging, dividing, mining, exploiting, arming & genociding places like Africa for centuries. I would want to have bullet-proof glass too.( A quick reality check on how we treat our native Indians & aborigines etc may help us in understanding ). Divide & conquer with the latest & greatest weapons of destruction has always been the way forward....( Though now-days psychological tactics are used, via the media etc etc ).

Just google the European continents ( & Africa's ) borders & annexed countries flags over the last 4-500 years to see how the lines on the map & flags change every so many years.

It's just part of the monetary system we abide by. Sadly we don't give a **** about the victims, as long as we're OK at home.

Cheers,

Rastus

Angus King, Gov of Maine when I got there 1999 drove a convert caddy, alone. Obama needed bullet proof glass because 99% of the world wants him dead and he knows it. He won't be around much longer, may already be in GITMO. If not now, soon. Let me pull the trigger, puleease. Does he disgust me? Ayuuuuup.

United States Presidential vacations

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to navigationJump to search

Presidential vacations have often been contentious and a source of criticism for presidents throughout history.

History[edit]

Martha's Vineyard is one choice taken for location for vacation, since the time of Ulysses S. Grant, during 1874. Presidents who have taken a vacation there include Presidents John F. KennedyBill Clinton, and Barack Obama.[1][2]

  • Before his election as the 45th President of the United StatesDonald Trump frequently criticized President Obama on Twitter for spending too much time away on vacation at too high a cost to American taxpayers.[8] President Trump, however, has spent most weekends at Mar-a-Lago or his golf course in New Jersey in his private club and estate, estimated at a cost of between $1 million and $3 million per trip.[9] At the current rate, Trump is set to outspend President Obama's total vacation costs for his two terms during his first year in office.[10] The high cost of Trump's vacations are due to high security costs for his "Southern White House." Mar-a-Lago is not only Trump's private estate, but also a members-only country club.

Yeah, but the chart is showing totals. Trump is like half way through 1 term and already on track to set an all time record that will be awfully hard for any future president to break.

I don't imagine Fox "News" or the like ever talks about stuff like this eh?
