Here is some information if you find that your camaro or firebird is running a little hot while moving at street or highway speeds.
Check the air scoop that is under the car. These little black air delectors are the only thing that will scoop air and throw it across the radiator. If they become broken or fall off it will cause the cool on-coming air from being directed over the radiator. With the low front ends on these cars the air scoops are very easily torn off or damaged. They have to be sturdy or they will deflect rather than direct.
Not a lot of people think about it, however we have seen this problem MANY times on 1986-2002 Camaro/Firebirds. Considering there is virtually no opening in the front of the camaro/firebirds this air scoop is a MUST HAVE and was installed from the factory on all of these F-Body cars.
So if your vehicle is overheating or just running a little hot at cruising speeds check that air scoop!
