You need to either be invited to that site by its administrator, or request membership and be able to prove you are currently employed as a Ford or International warranty certified technician, Or an engineer or technical training instructor for Ford or Navistar. That information WILL be verified by the secret sites administrator prior to being given access. It is the only way the site can remain pure. If you send Scrot a private message, identify yourself in it, and convince him you qualify, then Scrot will refer you to the aforementioned sites administrator.

Well, the site isn't really all that secret... there are many excellent articles and features to be had at http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/ . As Scrot has said, the forums are restricted to those directly involved in the trade. It isn't elitist but we did need a venue where we could discuss some matters in private... including Fords warranty policies and procedures, shrinking repair time allotments, techniques....

A good place to go if you have questions is http://turbodieselforums.com/community/ . You will have to register but your chances of "speaking" with a certified diesel tech are very good.

There are many DIY focussed forums.... you will usually find that most contributors will suggest replacing the last thing they had replaced on their own trucks - no matter how far fetched it might seem. These are the kinds of places some "professional" techs might visit when they refuse to purchase manuals...

Nothing to offer?

LOL!

These people got you fooled! Check out these other so called sites, NONE of them have the photo coverage that we do! Not only that all of these other forums are overseen by advertisement companies!

The ones that are private will offer little help to the owners of PowerStroke trucks.

TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS FORUM! You will soon learn that of ALL of the techs we have here, only ONE of them owns a PowerStroke truck! That person is Big Angry Hillbilly. The rest of them could only DREAM of owning a PowerStroke, and thats why they work at the dealerships!

Get your facts straight. No other forum on earth will cover what we cover. We could care less about people posting links to other sites, because we know where its at. We have been to other forums and see what they have to offer, and its very little.

If you think that a dealer tech is going to share with you the tricks of the trade you are dead wrong.

There is a reason that 90% of the post made in this forum are by certified techs, and it isnt because we kiss ass.

I did take the time to check out these sites you have listed. It appears that these forums are PRIVATE forums.

That being the case, these forums listed above could NEVER compare to the open forum that we have here!

Here we allow EVERYONE access to our vehicle information forums. We do not lock down our site to keep folks out like they do. That in of itself speaks volumes about what they are all about. The forums above are all about keeping secrets and information from the customers. NOT FOR HELPING PEOPLE!

Come back when you have something worthy Pogo.

Well... in order to post here, I had to register... a simple process, indeed...

In order to post at  http://turbodieselforums.com/community/  , you have to register... a simple process, indeed...

I don't see much difference (though, apparently, you do).

In order to post on the forddoctors site... well, I can't expound any more than I already have. Most web surfers will not fulfill the criteria for that site.

Notice that I have made no menton of powerstroke.org.... This would not be a recommended source of repair info...

Do yourself a favour, Rex... you are starting to look like a practicing schizophrenic with these multiple personalities...

Bottom line? Since being allowed to post on turbodiesel requires pretty much the same effort as posting on a website devoted to a back alley operation, it would appear that (a) - the offering is worthy and (b) - the main reason anyone is here is to give this wiener a hard time... there is no guarranty that a knowledgeable tech will ansewr any questions....

FWIW... you haven't checked out any of these sites... you have visited them and found out that I spoke the truth vis-a-vis registration requirements...

You are a thorough diagnostician, aren't you?

Pogo you are WRONG!

You DO NOT have to register to post on this site. Just ask PowerStroker.

There is a big diffrence there, and apparently the reason you dont see much diffrence is because you dont know.

I bet there are a lot of things you DONT KNOW that make you look like an idiot in here.

Registering is really only nessisary when one wishes to feed their Ego. This is something you do quite well.

I dont have time to fool around in someone elses web-forums anymore. The owners of these private forums are shallow and full of themself.

I have yet to find a forum that is as FAIR and HONEST as this one.

Stoma and PowerStroker are a few names that come to mind. You claim they come here to give me a hard time, but I seen them enjoying themselfs a few times in the process. Just like them, I have no where else that I can go and just be myself. A few times after reading my own shit I have considered banning myself for a few days! Outside of Stoma's one word post whorings we have never deleted anyones thread. Outside of showing someone how to embed a video, we have never changed anyones post. If its too crazy its sent to the Cafe, where it can live in infamy!

You spend a lot of time here to be talking so highly of them other "Private" forums. Does it bother you that I need nothing from them? Or does it bother you that I just dont give a fuck?

Don't get me wrong.. I do enjoy myself whenever I visit here... mainly because it gets a rise out of someone... someone that has accused me of having multiple personalities REX/Administrator and whoever else you might impersonate...

So far you have yet to prove even one of your outlandish claims...

We talked about manuals... you claimed that your mauals were second to none (depending on how you read that... maybe).

We talked about rear crank seal tools... you claimed you have them and didn't recognize them in a picture....

You claimed you were a successful businessman.. but vacated a rented building when things went bad.

You "fixed" a 6.0 but now are looking for a long block for it.... you denounced the "experts" (exspurts?) on the DIY sight you chose as ineffective. The one website that could have helped you (the "secret" website) you denounce as "exclusive".

Don't you ever get the feeling that you should tyake a step backwards, say "fuck... what I'm doing ain't working... should I do something different?".

Nah.... you are REX! We are wrong.. You are great... our customers aren't using their "other car".

But your fenders are sitting in the dirt...

Yes I have access to some good manuals. I even OWN many for the years that Online was not on option 70's, 80's and 90's.

Now days the best value is online access to manuals, and they are pretty damn good, often times giving the same wire diagrams that you guys at Fords use. The TSB's are the result of dealer guys doing the same job many times, so really, you guys are working for me. (LOL)

There are some times when the dealer has the advantage. One of these times is when the customer is bringing their out of warranty truck to you for repairs and the bill exceedes $10k, at this point the customer can buy a new one, give the dealer the old one and still get out of the dealership for under $10k. Sure they will have a car payment for 72 months, but they will have a warranty! Who cares if a new Super Duty can run upwards of $60,000 dollars! Finance it! It's still less out of pocket than fixing that old one right? LOL

Lets talk about that long block too. I dont plan on replacing that engine with another Diesel. I think its been said several times over that I dont do much long haul. 20-30 miles a week city driving. My Diesel often times didnt even get warm before reaching its destination. No I have other plans, plans I have not shared with you because I am sure ALL of you would razz me till it was done.

Why should I take a step backwards? The last time I tried to implement your way of thinking I sent a nice ass 560 SEC Euro spec Benz down the road, because you cant eat a car right? WRONG.

Your customers are using their "Other" cars when they leave them with you. I doubt Ford loans out Super Duty trucks for loaners, so the customers whom you keep tied up at the dealer are using their "Other" trucks to make their living whilst you guys try and "Learn" what Fords has made, just like the rest of us.

You should also know that it was my choice to vacate the rented building. I did so in accordance with my lease and I was even offered a larger unit in the same complex for less money. What you consider successful is the result of yours and many others hard work for the dealership/man. Unlike you and many other dealer techs my skill and tools are not locked up until the next day when the man lets you start working again.

My fenders are not sitting in the dirt. By the time I am done I might just have them leather seats, and upgraded front end! Hell I may even install one of them fancy dash boards just to run it up your collective asses.

Try me!
