Vt365 is the International 4000 version of the Ford's 6.0 pickup truck motor.International builds the motor for Ford but it is called the 6.0.

We at the dealer always have problems with International / Ford crossreference questions. Both companies use different part numbers. Since the engine comes fully assembled with wiring from International, all of the part numbers are International part numbers which don't come up in the computers of Ford Parts counterpersons. Our parts guys can look up a harness by Ford application, and come up with a Ford part number. When the part shows up, inside the Ford box is a harness with an International part number on it. We have just about no ability whatsoever to cross a Ford number to an International number at the dealer level.

I know the Ford basic part number for that harness is 9D930. The prefix and suffix to that number can change by year, but I think they were the same in all F series for the entire run of Fords use of the 6.0. The E-series vans used an entirely different harness on that engine in which the injector harness (9D930) was an integrated part of the main engine harness (12b637).

By my reasoning, if Ford uses a different inj harness just between it's F series and E series trucks, it's entirely possible that International has an entirely different configuration for the wiring harness when they use that engine in their vehicles, but I don't know, and it's probable that neither does any Ford parts counterperson. Ford and International aren't on the best terms these days for information sharing, or even speaking.

My advise is this:
If the vehicle it's in has a blue oval on the front - get your parts from a Ford dealer.
If the vehicle it's in has a Diamond on the front - get your parts from Navistar.

Good luck.

Here are some photos of the early 2003 6.0.

Part number 1843797C92 - I think this was Big Main Engine Harness

And part number 1843796C92 - I think this was the injector harness and seems to be a match to your Ford part number. I am thinking yours might be diffrent too, best to order that part number you have from Navistar.

I hear about a lot of problems with the harness on the 6.0's

I am also going to move this thread from the AFR over to the Ford Truck forums.

Yes you are correct for the 03 4000 IHC medium duty truck the harness does not separate like the Ford does. The harness cost about a $1000 bucks, but now I am troubleshooting a no start but cranks issue after I put the truck back together!

Do you have a scan tool that reads live pid data? If so, what do the following read while cranking:

RPM, Sync, Ficmsync, ICPV, ICP, IPR, FicmMpwr, FicmVpwr, Vref, CMPfault, CKPfault

I am waitingyawn.gif for a buddy of mine that works with a local International dealership who is very familiar with the VT 365. I showed him my paperwork and He said he would help me due to all of my problems I had with the International dealership out of Atlanta GAno.gif so I had the truck transported to NC. The truck original went in for low power issue and found worn valve bridges and two bad injectors. I replaced all the items listed and the headgaskit due to the dealership removed two of the head bolts.I recently brought the diagnostic and service manual'sconfuse.gif I will keep you posted!
