Thanks Rastus! This 4th of July was especially patriotic here as I elected to put a flag on my flag pole that has been empty for 4 years.!
The scary part of it was that it's about a 25-30 foot flag pole and the rope had been cut and pulled thru the pulley! This meant having to get to the very top of the flag pole and route a new halyard thru the pulley.
At first, I got a little vertigo, as I got up on the 2nd to the top rung of the ladder. Then as I tried to roll the halyard rope thru the pulley it bound up and would not roll thru. I got a coat hanger to clear it out and turns out it was a hornets nest up there in the cavity! Thankfully the nest was vacated and I finally got the halyard rope thru the pulley and hoisted my very first American flag.

I'm glad the hornets-nest was empty !!! - But then it would have been a great job for Stoma to clean out LOL. A couple of stings would have served him well.
I worry about PowerStroker however...I thought he might have posted by now...
You'd better stock-up with flags though, I hear they don't last as long as they should, especially with thieves being thieves.
We're all still waiting on the first burn-out video too, so when you're ready please !!!

Oh don't worry about me, I'm still around. I just don't log in every day like I used to, I'm sure around November though I'll have to keep Rex in line more often though.

Just put up a new flag two weeks ago! They last about a year... At this rate I should have enough retired flags to ask my Betsy Ross to hem together a patriotic car cover (one that does not touch the ground of course) for use on the 4th of July and other such days.
