70% of the time, they are $hit and you cant even use the money.
The end user ends up having to jump thru so many hoops to make them work they just say fuck it. None the less it takes a bunch of time that really I dont have to waste. So they sit, and then expire and you wonder why you get nothing for holidays... LOL
What a LAZY way to shop for gifts! I guess if you are looking for an easy way out gift cards are the way, but for me it's lottery tickets, cash or booze and it's a hit every time!

Well it would seem some of these gift cards don't work online, and as such you have a crying kid and a pissed off wife when they fail to work. After about 45 minutes entering the same information over and over one can get a little pissed off.
All is well that ends well I guess, as the cards were taken to the store where they were honored. You can imagine the disgust when faced with the possibility of having to pay out of pocket for someone elses gift, which is almost what I had to do in order to keep the water works from rolling.
Seems every single time I have to try and use a gift card online it won't work and I get caught in the middle of an upset kid and a crappy online store. Pisses me off to no end but what are you gonna do?
Given my experiences with gift cards, I can't say I'd ever purchase one for someone. Just my two cents.
