You know, after having to read about all these new laws Politicians think up I have decided to think up a few of my own.
Let me know what you think, and perhaps we can submit them for consideration.
NEW LAWS FOR 2013
(1) All Politicians should submit to regular and random drug and alcohol screenings.
(2) All Politicians should be forced to work for minimum wage because such a job is considered a "public service"
(3) All Politicians should be forced to undergo a full background check, all the way back to elementary school
(3a) The results of law #1 and #3 should be included with their names as they appear on any ballot where the public is forced to make a choice on who to elect.
(4) All Politicians should be restricted to strict term limits regardless of popularity.
(5) All court prosecutors should be held to the letter of the law, this means scrapping immunity for prosecutors.
(6) All Politicians should be required to carry the same insurance they impose on the public with absolutly no exceptions.
I really feel that if these 7 things were adopted things would begin to change immediately for the better.

I might add that in the interest of vetting these new laws (to ensure they work) they should first be implemented in New York City. I feel such a large city would give America as a whole the best possible example for which to make a decision.

Everything that you've mentioned is valid and probably makes too much sence, right around the globe ! But if everyone had drug tests, background checks, worked for minimum wages, and politicians were limited to so many terms in government, who would be left to vote for ??? And what sort of "democracy" would be left ??? Regretfully, the prosperous years that followed WWII ( well nearly prosperous ) are just about all over...The good-will that president Eisenhower developed for everyone to believe in all around the world has regretfully disolved, not least of which by the press and the shamefull result that came about from the Watergate insident, and the sadly disgraced Mr.Nixon...Mr.Nixon wasn't too bad a person, and actually started a lot of good things that have helped people and governments around the world make their countries better places including the USA...He was generally flying around the globe trying to make things better for everyone, not only in the Western countries etc etc, but regretfully left the day to day running of the USA to a less than honest administration...Yet he remained a true leader and resigned his post due to the disgraceful efforts of the folks he left to run the USA. One of your great presidents also I think...
At the end of the day SELLC, the world has suffered from the "probaganda" generated by the press...It was the press that started WWI and WWII, and pretty much any other war that's ever been, and we all remain suckers to see what's happening around the world based on film-footage and opinions of reporters overthere...Then we are asked as a "nation" to take heed and fight for the freedoms and liberties of these oppressed countries...At what gain or cost ?...I believe that people should be free to do what they want in their country, and be able to speak out about the issues that affect these places, and then be able to do what needs to be done without the bollox that comes about. You should be able to sort out your own problems by yourself !!! Yet be able to ask for help should you need it...All the problems around the world can be fixed...There are solutions ! People only need to be honest about things, and results will be found, if not liked !
I'm completely sick to death about all these countries ( Muslims etc ) that go around saying how much they hate America...Yet everyone of these people / countries wants to be like America...eg, Cars, motorbikes, shops, houses, concrete, roads, etc etc etc...Yet none are prepared to get off their asses and do things for themselves...They'd rather bag the Western countries and blame us for their oppression....And all this starts from bad press....
Yes I've gone a little left of centre once again, and tried to solve all the worlds problems in 3-paragraphs, but we all have the ability to make small changes for the good starting from your own home, and from there things spread. Should people be brave enough to be genuinely good within themselves, then they'll start to see what really counts in this world, and not the bullshit that's force-fed on 50 different channels of shit on the TV etc etc etc.
