Aw well... He is a Hobby mechanic, and I use the term mechanic in its loosest form. I used to look down on scum like that until one day I had to work outside of my trade. Now I have a little more respect for such things.
The only thing Gerry has got going for him is he's pretty particular and in most cases (if he hasnt gotten to know you) is more than willing to offer up his opinion and help (as limited as it might be).
I don't agree with Gerry's Censorship policies, but he's still an alright guy.
This whole situation has given me pause to reflect on the Stoma situation. Perhaps we let him out of his cage? How long do you give Stoma before I have to send him back on vacation?

I use to frequent Gerry's board but it would seem he's got a serious problem with censorship when it comes to honest debate and I am not just talking about the kind of random meaningless sewage that Stoma spews. I don't imagine Gerry will be any different when it comes to off-topic issues either, especially as it pertains to Obama being on the side of Mount Rushmore.
In all honesty, I have been quite impressed with Obama since his re-election. I often wonder how long he can keep it up before something sticks. At this point I am rooting for him, as this country can't handle another distraction. Things have been inching forward and the DOW seems to be breaking records almost weekly. All of that is basically bullshit smoke and mirrors and I usually gauge how the economy is doing by how busy I am, and currently I am overbooked... So.. +1 for the Skipper. The only thing that bothers me is the amount of "scandals" that are surfacing, many of which show the public is being mislead about things until such time as someone demands the truth and even then it's usually only 1/2 the truth.
Don't get me wrong, things could always be better and they could always be worse. I still think there is a lot of WORK left for Obama in the next three years to ensure all of his efforts are "WORKING" before he leaves office. Some people claim Obama is going for a 3rd term, but that would really be a stretch.

Trying to get quality out of Stoma is like trying to get quality out of China... It just isn't going to happen.
I'd have to say I'm the most easy going web forum out there. I mean $hit... At least I keep giving him chances to be something other than a three word prick, which is more than I can say for some other forums out there.

I was wondering if Gerry's site is set up to where new members must be approved prior to posting? Is this the case with Gerrys forum? I hate forums that have to have each and every account approved by a moderator, and really any site that must do so probably has a lot of skeletons out there on the internet. This forum all you have to do is register and then an email is set to verify you at least have an email account, then the account is active and you can post.
I sure hope you didn't have to go thru a long drawn out registration process only to be snubbed like that! What a jip!

he seems to have an automated process which only required an email be sent back to me with a link enclosed for me to click on to verify. Though it wouldn't surprise me if he set up some kind of filter to weed me out now.
I don't know what rule I broke there, I posted in the off topic area, and I didn't say anything derogatory about anyone.
Maybe I can get Scrot to make an appearance there lol.
You know what ? RSJ probably wouldn't be the same, and might'n even have anything to say ? He might have a pay-back of silence, especially since gerryvz is no longer posting anything....Might be better to wait until gerryvz comes back, and then reconsider SELLC. 5 months of silence may not be enough time away for all those years of abuse from RSJ. But it is your forum, so I guess you get to decide the deal ! LOL !

I hate when he carpet bombs the forum with his 3-4 word rants. Then of course there is the fact he always wants to pick on everyone and claims to be rich and so on and so on.
It would be good if Stoma never bothered to post again, but that's not going to happen.
The rise and fall of Stoma saga seems to be something of a on-going battle since day one when this place was "The big three web forum". Of course leave it to GM and Chrysler to sell out! LOL! The funny thing is 15-20 years ago that would be considered unheard of. Just goes to show the state of things and how fast everything can change.
