The relationship between Rastus and Stoma is what it is.. I don't understand it because Stoma never speaks highly of Rastus, but again, it is what it is.
There is some history here that pre-dates you PowerStroker, maybe not with Rastus... But certainly with Stoma... Regardless both these people come in off of various Mercedes forums and I am certain their loyalties are not with this forum, and at least in the case of Rastus - he could be a mole. Then again, for all we know Rastus and Stoma could be the same person. Doesn't really matter to me either way, but Stoma isn't here to offer up constructive debate, at least not under that handle.
So there you have it. Just to twist things a little, I am not very impressed with the decision of Australia to withhold this information - so in a way, I really do feel at this time "Fuck Australia"... I expect more from them, even if I did say it to provoke Rastus... Then again, Rastus might not even really be Australian anyway! LOL, ever see any photos of him on his bike next to a Kangaroo or a wallaby? lol

Stoma can be funny at times...Yes he's an idiot, & strikes below the belt, & deserves banning. But just when you get used to his presence again, he's blown it & gone...He needs our help...
I don't visit other MB / car forums except this one. In fact, I've forgotten even my passwords etc to Jerry's e500 thing. Not my place to hang out. Too many sheep there ( not all ) that can't think for themselves, but are happy to waste big money on stuff, simply because others have, & feel obliged to do the same. You could spend a month there explaining with facts why something won't improve performance, & still have people spending big bucks on something that doesn't work. eg... Lots of people over there spend / waste money on unnecessarily re-grinding camshafts, to find more top-end power lol, when the secret to success is a simple free-flowing dual-exhaust-system, that offers staggering improvements in breathing efficiency in all the RPM range, & you haven't messed-up a million-dollar-design recipe from the MB-factory, & its engineers...But these folks know better, so I'd rather leave them to it....They can afford to mess up.
This means I'm no mole. And I'm certainly not Stoma lol...But I have my suspicions that you're possibly so paranoid, I doubt I could change your mind. I also have a life too, which means time is limited to the net. The beauty of a motorcycle is that it's useless to even take your phone with you, as you won't hear it to answer it. Thankfully, I'm not that important anyway !
I actually laughed when I saw the photo of the lady with the burned face !!! Apparently the blame is being placed on the batteries used, not the headphones. I guess they need to put in voltage protection like a fuse in there somewhere, where the fuse melts instead of your head-phones...
It's likely that the head-phones are made in China, since like the US-of-A, Australian manufacturing is almost non-existent. ( At a guess, I'd say they were Bose, simply because they're everywhere ).
I'd also suggest that the head-phone manufacturer has made-out a very healthy bank-cheque so the victim keeps her mouth shut. Even if the batteries were at fault.
Rastus is Australian lol, but he lives happily by himself, & that means modern digital photo's are scarce, & he doesn't have many...In fact, since all of the lap-top failures over the last few years, I think there's only one photo in existence of Rastus, & that was taken at work, on-board a Teekay Tanker...It is also suffering from digital degradation for unknown reasons, but may show up in the V-8 cafe...
My post that was eliminated, has re-appeared !!! We'll blame that on the internet itself / server issues, & hence, my response here, & apology to the administrators, who may not have been involved....

Nobody ever eliminated any of your post Rastus, but I'd look into that on your end as perhaps your browser may have had something to do with it.
That said, it does absolutely no good to speculate as to the maker of the headphones when really it's an obligation your government has to release the information. I have always found Bose to be a quality product and I have a 20+ year old paid of Bose desk speakers that are still amazing for their size even by todays standards. It also doesn't matter if it's just the battery which failed causing the issue, it just matters what brand product said batteries are equipped with.
That said, Australia is seriously taking a reputation pounding... From the recent revelation of Christmas Island due to their fit with Trump and now with this cover up on a pair of head phones, I am stating to think Australia isn't the place I once thought it was! It's a shame too, because I am probably not the only person taking notice.
