Should Obama and Kerry be arrested and tried for treason on the Iran deal?

There was NO bipartisan support to pay Iran!

The money came from a little-known fund administered by the Treasury Department for settling litigation claims. The so-called Judgment Fund is taxpayer money Congress has permanently approved in the event it's needed, allowing the president to bypass direct congressional approval to make a settlement.

The Obama administration said it paid $1.3 billion in interest to Iran in January to resolve a decades-old dispute over an undelivered military sale, two days after allowing $400 million in cash to fly to Tehran.

State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau says the U.S. couldn't say more about the Jan. 19 payments because of diplomatic sensitivities. They involved 13 separate payments of $99,999,999.99 and final payment of about $10 million. There was no explanation for the Treasury Department keeping the individual transactions under $100 million.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/08/24/us-paid-iran-1-3b-two-days-after-400m-cash-transfer.html

I just love how all these people are giving President Trump a hard time for using Twitter and Facebook to get out his message... Yet when Obama first got elected you couldn't turn the channel without having to listen to that 1diot running his c0ck holster! The media fell in love with him and since he was half black anyone who disagreed with him was labeled a racist!

People talk about the kinds of things President Trump says, but when Obama was first elected he threatened to step on the throats of business who defied him! He walked into congress and smugly told them that "I won, and to get over it". He did all the same kinds of things Trump did but got away with it! The way he attacked GW Bush on the campaign trail was unprecedented! He was a smug little Muslim bitch with the entire Muslim world behind him, pumping him full of money and buying out all the news networks! Millions of catfish internet profiles were created - and they were sneaky... Getting online and creating this false sense of overwhelming support to get lower IQ Americans on board.. Obviously this included 96% of the African American vote and a high percentage of the angry white women.

So to everyone in here trying to push that BS false narrative that Trumps approval ratings are down, I got news for you - IT'S NOT! Trump's approval rating is higher than Obama on cocaine and pot! REAL Americans support him fully and the only people who seem to dislike him are the media outlets that are about to get busted up, the catfish profiles and the legal and illegal immigrants!

Took Obama's dumb a$$ 8 long years to seed all his little radical closet Muslim supporters within the government but it's only going to take Trump a few months to kick them all out, along with the 3 million illegals who voted last election on the traitor Obama's suggestion that illegal aliens and unregistered voters go to the polls and cast their illegal votes! I had the unique opportunity to actually re-count the votes in Detroit and the level of corruption in Democrat districts saw more than 50% of their votes in these districts get kicked because of irregularities.

You Obama supporters are pathetic, and watching you all have little fits is amusing enough but it's getting old. We're on to you! You won't get away with it, and by the time we are done their wont be enough of you left to win an election!

America needs to pick Obama and Kerry up NOW, before they can flee overseas and cost us billions to find and prosecute! Just think of the intel Obama could provide to a foreign nation about US policy and the internal protocol and classified inner workings of our government! More leaks have occurred under Obamas watch than under all of the other Presidents combined and has cost this nation more headache and damage than can even be measured!

The time to act is NOW!

The CIA have been dealing the US-of-A's & the worlds drugs since its inception. (Just ask Mr.Bush LOL )!

The World banks fund the growers per-se, the CIA import & distribute, all in an effort to keep the US-of-A's economy & cash-flow circulating, since the US-of-A will always be in debt to the banks.

Drugs are a central & major part of your economy.

The founder of the "Skull & Bones" was a known world-wide drug dealer.

There's no new news here lol, except an excuse to slander your old President...And why not, he also let this continue under his watch. ( As with all the others too ).

What ever happened to Eric Holder? Oh that's right... He got $hit canned.

That gun running sting of which you speak was actually started during the Bush adminsitration, and ended under the Obama administration when it became clear that the guns they were trying to trace in order to locate the criminals ended up killing American federal agents.

Now PowerStroker, you know that is bull$hit... But you're going to say that because you want to take the focus off the Democrats since you know damn well that the problems with Fast and Furious did not even start to happen until the Democrats got in office under Eric Holder... And you know damn well that Obama fired Holder over the issue, where Eric Holder cried like a baby at the podium, knowing darn well he screwed up.

If you read up on Fast and Furious you will also notice all the scandals happened under the Obama administration and NOT under Republicans!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATF_gunwalking_scandal

If you read up on the scandal there is absolutely no mention of any Scandal until after 2008! In fact it wasn't even called operation Fast and Furious under the Bush Administration! It was called operation "Wide receiver"! Clearly the scandal occurred when the Obama Administration took over, as operation Fast and Furious...

I just find it in very poor taste that you would say what you said, knowing full well you're full of $hit.. This is everything that people have come to despise about Democrats. I can only imagine what Democrats are going to say about the American Health Care Act in the next few years when the $hit hits the fan with Obamacare... It should be pretty entertaining to say the least...

Ummmm,

What does Obamacare have to do with all this cocaine ?...

When are the Republicans going to come up with Trumpcare / better solutions, instead of constantly whinging about the state of things ?....They've been elected to fix things, not whinge & moan !!!

I thought Mr.Trump accepted office to ( lol ) "Make America great again". So why doesn't he get to work ?...

All we hear is bitching & moaning...You'd think we were at a regular "Mothers Club Meeting" !!! Why aren't they discussing important "make America great again matters" ?...

I paid for my ticket, & I jumped on-board the Trump Train, & I'm not satisfied !!!! The scenery is woeful....

Well, one of the problems with it was put in by Marco Rubio as a poison pill to cut off the subsidizing of healthcare in order to intentionally make it fail so he can use it as a demonstration of why it doesn't work and why you should elect him to repeal it. Kind of a cynical way to govern if you ask me.

Oh I forgot, Obama didn't ever seem to mind when Federal agents were killed... He also didn't seem to mind when Police were either! In fact, Obama and his administration hated anyone in any branch of law enforcement.

I admit that a complete 1diot would think that only the name changed when the entire Administration running it also changed. It is pretty hilarious, then again so was the major Democrat upset in 2016 when your parties backwards thinking was rejected by the American people.

Oh how the next 7 years and 10 months is going to be so wonderful, Democrats were all so proud yesterday they were able to screw the American people just one last time! Even if it does mean that as Obamacare implodes, they will all be paying more for less. Unlike Obama, Republicans are in it for the long game.

I am pretty sure the money is already gone PowerStroker, at least the cash anyway... With the sanctions that are surly fast on their way I am sure they have been bleeding all the money they can out of

accounts at institutions that could be appropriated.

They were very cocky during the entire negotiation process, so much in fact you almost had to scratch your head as to why we were even making a deal with Iran!

I don't know what Obama was thinking when he agreed to this BS, but he sure as heck wasn't thinking of America.

When Democrats sent a plane with $1.5 billion in cash to Iran without ANY congressional oversight I couldn't believe my flipping ears!

Well, It can't be that bad if England, France, Germany, and the European Union signed on to it too. As I understand Iran is reaching out to the other signatories and stated their desire to continue the agreement with them.

Golly, wouldn't that be embarrassing to Trump if Iran was the mature one and made a deal with the rest of the world?

I doubt it, as I understand it was money we owed them anyway. Which would explain why no impeachment or even Congressional hearings.
Just because something makes you mad, don't mean it's illegal or even wrong.

That's just the problem PowerStroker! WHO SAID "WE OWED IT ANYWAY"?

OBAMA AND KERRY!?

Iran put in place a peaceful and democratic government to be able to buy weapons... soon and they bought them they switched to a hostile government thinking they could

circumvent long standing US policy NOT to sell weapons to hostile and radical nations.

The bottom line is neither Kerry, nor Obama had the right to make that determination all on their own! That should have been left up to congress who would have almost

certainly elected to keep fighting it in court. We had the moral high ground, and in essence Obama and Kerry paid for the peace agreement that was $hit anyway!

If you ask me this may very well come to be the biggest scam in the history of the United States!

$1.5 billion cash... Pffft... For fu@ks sake PowerStroker! At least acknowledge it!

 Actually you can thank Reagan.

The IranUnited States Claims Tribunal (IUSCT) is an international arbitral tribunal established pursuant to the Algiers Accords of January 19, 1981, an agreement between the United States and Iran mediated by Algeria to resolve the hostage crisis. In exchange for the release of the hostages seized by Iranian students on November 4, 1979, the United States agreed to terminate litigation against Iran in U.S. courts and to release Iranian assets frozen by the Carter Administration. Many of the frozen assets had been attached by U.S. claimants pursuant to Treasury license. The U.S. claims agreement with Iran provided an alternative remedy backed by a billion dollar escrow account for U.S. nationals with contract and expropriation claims against Iran.

President Reagan confirmed the Algiers Accords, and the constitutionality of these arrangements was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in Dames & Moore v. Regan.

You know, a lot of people do forget that Iran, just prior to this deal, had captured many American sailors and was in fact holding them hostage against their will.. No one remembers that!

So what you're saying PowerStroker, is that under an agreement made back in 1979, where Iran held hostages in exchange for money; we once again paid them money for holding hostages?

This time AMERICAN SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN!?

I am so glad that pussy Obama is out of there! And nothing was settled until such time as Obama misused the money by just giving it to Iran without congressional approval!? Because if you read the last sentence of that quote you posted it says

for U.S. nationals with contract and expropriation claims against Iran.      SEE THAT? FOR U.S. NATIONALS!

Congress authorized the settlement fund and authorized the president to use it to pay legitimate claims.

A legitimate claim was ruled upon by an arbitration that was ratified by Congress.

It seems pretty cut and dry to me. And it seems that no informed Republican member of Congress has any issue with it either. Yall have been in charge of Congress for a while now. If you are so concerned about such things, you could have revisited the authorization instead of making abortion and bathroom laws.

What exactly was working, PowerStroker?

If you say that $1.6 billion dollars bought their silence then yes, I would agree! But in reality, just because Iran wasn't running foul of the mouth about the United States of America, it was still very much doing exactly what it was prior to the big cash payout.

They are in Syria working against us right now, so why do we need some kind of agreement to mutually understand that aggression will be met with aggression? Perhaps they might have to resort to taking hostages again?

Knowing what we know it's clear that Iran, North Korea and even Pah-kee-Sthan won't be the last small nations to try and obtain weapons to defend itself. Yet when Obama did his little Osama raid the United States didn't seem to care that Pah-kee-Sthan was a nuclear armed nation, we just choppered on in there, got our man and got the hell out - nukes be damned... allegedly, because you never know with the big O.

All that being said, the few Iranian people I have ever met in my lifetime seemed to be good people, I have no doubts that the people of Iran are good people. They just need to keep the good ones running the country. Feeding your critics to wild dogs, taking hostages and things like that are usually sure indicators that we are not dealing with good people. Certainly not the kind of people you want to entrust with nukes or contractual obligations that may as well be considered un-checked and on the "honor" system with a sunset clause.

So do we just pay everyone in the world $1.6 billion dollars cash to shut them up? Is little Kim thinking that his bad behavior is going to be rewarded in kind like Iran? You know at one time not too long ago in my lifetime we were giving aid to China too! Bringing them out into the civilized world from the recluse shadows of the world... What do we get in return from all the nations that improve and are thriving now? Shit on? Left with the tab and a mess to clean up? There is a reason US dollars are the reserve currency of the world, because if we're not trying to keep the peace there is going to be war and no-ones money will be worth $hit outside their boarders!

Iran complying with nuclear deal, IAEA says

VIENNA -- A new review by the United Nations agency monitoring Iran's compliance with a treaty that restricts its nuclear activities has not identified any violations by Tehran.

The quarterly report issued on Monday by the International Atomic Energy Agency is significant considering President Donald Trump's criticism of the 2015Iran nuclear deal.

Mr. Trump last month refused to certify that Iran was in compliance with the agreement. He said Iran had committed several earlier violations and is receiving disproportionate relief from international sanctions.

He then gave Congress 60 days to review whether the U.S. should re-impose sanctions on Iran or otherwise amend the conditions for participating in the treaty.

Congress has essentially punted the issue to the U.S. delegation at the United Nations, and Ambassador Nikki Haley met last week with IAEA chief Yukia Amano in New York to press the Trump administration's demand for expanded inspections by observers -- including of Iran's military facilities.

"Iran is now subject to the world's most robust nuclear verification regime, and the IAEA has so far had access to all the locations it needed to visit in the country," Amano said, pushing back on the criticism from Mr. Trump and Republican lawmakers.

On Friday, Amano told the U.N. General Assembly: "The Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared  by  Iran  under  its  Safeguards  Agreementevaluations regarding the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran continue."

After their meeting, Haley was upbeat; she expressed U.S. support for the IAEA's efforts in carrying out robust verification of nuclear-related activities in Iran, emphasizing the "importance of Iran ensuring full and transparent access for the IAEA to carry out their mandated monitoring activities."

Washington stands alone among the six world powers that signed the deal in now opposing it. America's European partners have lobbied the Trump administration hard to leave the deal intact, and Iran's leaders have blasted the White House for attempting to go back on the U.S. government's agreements.

UN Atomic Agency: Iran Complying With Nuclear Accord

https://www.voanews.com/a/un-atomic-agency-says-iran-complying-with-nuclear-accord/4266334.html

The United Nations atomic agency has concluded that Iran is continuing to restrict its nuclear program in compliance with the 2015 international accord aimed at curbing Tehrans nuclear weapons development.

A quarterly International Atomic Energy Agency report Thursday said Iran is honoring key aspects of the deal that the United States, China, Russia, France, Germany, Britain and the European Union reached with Iran in exchange for the lifting of sanctions that hobbled the Islamic Republics economy.

U.S. President Donald Trump has criticized what he says are disastrous flaws in the agreement. He has pushed the countries that agreed to the Iran pact to overhaul it, but they have rebuffed him and have continued to support the agreement. Trump has threatened to pull the U.S. out of the agreement and has a May deadline to again consider whether he will waive reimposition of sanctions against Tehran.

In this Oct. 13, 2017 file photo, President Donald Trump makes a statement on Iran policy in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House in Washington.
In this Oct. 13, 2017 file photo, President Donald Trump makes a statement on Iran policy in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House in Washington.

Iran Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi contended Thursday in a London speech that Trumps frequent complaints about the deal represent a violation of the terms of the accord and have hurt his countrys ability to secure new foreign investment money. He threatened that Iran could pull out of the deal no matter whether Trump again forgoes new sanctions against Iran.

If the same policy of confusion and uncertainties about the (deal) continues, if companies and banks are not working with Iran, we cannot remain in a deal that has no benefit for us, Araghchi said. Thats a fact.

The report said Iran has not exceeded limits on its stocks of low-enriched uranium and heavy water, and did not enrich uranium beyond a limit of 3.67 percent purity required by the agreement.

The deal, long in the negotiating, was aimed at extending the time Iran would need to build a nuclear bomb, if it wanted to, from a few months to roughly a year.

The U.N. agency said that Iran told it in a letter that it had decided to construct naval nuclear propulsion in (the) future.

In response, the IAEA requested further clarifications and amplifications, adding that if Iran went ahead with its naval nuclear propulsion plans, it would need to supply initial design information. Iran has yet to respond, the report said.
