Equifax waited until hurricane to release hack of 145 Million peoples identities and credit report information!

These slippery b@stards at Equifax have known about the hacking of their systems and 145 million people being compromised for MONTHS!

Their top officials have been selling off stock!

Then at a time when we are getting hit with THREE powerful Hurricanes, several MONTHS later and millions in shares sold they decided that right now is the best time to release this hack!?

This is crooked in so many ways! A company that makes its living out of scoring consumers and they operate like this!?

I am beyond p1ssed!

And yet I still don't know if I am one of the people effected... I went into my email box looking for the confirmation email Equifax sent me to re-log in on my date to see if I was one of the people who's information was hacked and was unable to find it, even using the search string "Equifax".

What I DID find wasn't at all funny...

Equifax hasn't sent me a single email since 2016.... HOWEVER,

In May 2017 they sent me two emails bragging how buying their service would protect my identity from 3rd parties!

June they sent me 6 emails offering 50% off, all claiming they could protect my identity!

July they sent me 4 emails

August they sent me 7 emails! YES that's right SEVEN emails! ALL claiming to protect my identity for 50% off!

WTF! This is BS! Equifax IS trying to monopolize on their lax security!

I am so fu@king p1ssed off right now!

Gawd d@am c0ck suckers!

I hear reports the upper crust CEO's of Equifax have liquidated millions in stocks since May, when they claim they learned of the breach! It's plain to see this company is not only crooked, but unable to handle the responsibility that comes with credit reporting when they lie and omit such major security information! All the while they are trying to sell their service to people claiming they can protect your identity, knowing full well they compromised the privacy of 145 million people! Then to wait until a major hurricane to release the information in hopes that it will "blow over" with the hurricane!?

SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!

Yep, my info was compromised according to their checker. I already have identity protection from a previous breach that another company suffered, so I don't need their crap.

Seriously, they are in the business of data privacy, they should be closed down for being so easily compromised.

That sucks Gerry! I am still trying to figure out if mine was...

I too had free credit reports and checkers thru various creditors as part of my ongoing business relationship with them, so I never paid much attention to Equifax emails anyway because I had the service free with several other creditors. But to think they, Equifax, was responsible for this security issue is beyond frustrating.

From what I am reading now, the slippery b@astards at Equifax are trying to include some disclaimer that waives your rights to sue!

Isn't that totally pathetic and unacceptable!? The government needs to crack down on these slippery crooks NOW! SHUT THEM DOWN!
