In the market for a new floor jack... recently returned a 4 ton Daytona that I had impulse purchased when I seen this advertisement
Now it would appear these are the exact same jacks! Apparently the Daytona 4 ton jack does not come with a 3 year warranty like the Daytona 3 ton, which is basically a knock off of the Snap On 3 ton jack.
How do these things happen?
In my quest I seen this thread where there seems to be a lot of back and fourth...
All that weight is supported by the integrity of an oil seal, & strength of some bolts / pins from sheering...
Should the Daytona meet &/or exceed US-of-A safety standards, then it would seem to be a steal at that price IMO...
But Snap-On do have a full life-time warranty, so you'll only ever need to pay for their jack once.

These two jacks appear almost identical and I would be very curious if the Snap-On jack was made in China also. I would agree that so long as the seals and bolts were as good of quality as the Snap-On, that the jack would be a good deal.
Recently I picked up that OTC Hub Grappler and later found out it too was made in China. I was concerned the steel it was made out of would not hold up as most China steal is garbage. I once broke a harbor freight ball joint press clean in half and every since I have not had any confidence in China steel. But the China OTC unit is holding up, done several wheel bearings without issue yet. It's such a large price difference for what appears to be the exact same jack.
I should also mention, Rastus, that Snap-On lifetime warranty only applies to hand tools and not things like jacks or air tools. So the warranty of 3 years is the same on both the Snap-On and the Daytona.

I'm not really a tight-ass when it comes to tools, but saving $300:00 buys a lot of other stuff, & I know which jack I'd be buying...Lets face it, you could buy 2 x Daytona's & still keep $100:00 in your wallet...
I didn't know that about the warranty with Snap-On. Makes the decision even easier IMO. ( The Daytona also has a claimed 3-tonne rating too, compared to the 2-tonne Snap-On )...
