Habersham Countys Mud Creek precinct in northeastern Georgia had 276 registered voters ahead of the states primary elections in May.
But 670 ballots were cast, according to the Georgia secretary of states office, indicating a 243 percent turnout.
The discrepancy, included in a number of sworn statements and exhibits filed as part of a federal lawsuit against the state by election security activists, comes amid swelling public concern for the security of Georgias voting systems. Georgia is one of four states that uses voting machines statewide that produce no paper record for voters to verify, making them difficult to audit, experts say.
"Only an alert & knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial & military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods & goals, so that security & liberty may prosper together". Dwight D.Eisenhower.
Georgia must have some real incompetent election judges if they are handing out ballots to people not even on the rolls.
I guess a place called Mud Creek Georgia doesn't attract the best and brightest.
Your article actually spells out the real problem though:
"Georgia is one of four states that uses voting machines statewide that produce no paper record for voters to verify, making them difficult to audit, experts say."
Seems more like a case of hacking/election fraud than voter fraud if you ask me. Perhaps we should do something about these types of voting machines instead of whipping people up about "voter" fraud?
All of the I.D. laws and suppression tactics in the world to keep people from getting a ballot, can't stop a hacker from getting any result he desires. That's the real problem.
