Have a bill from Riverlink for 2 passes on a toll road. Supposedly 7-2017 and 8 2018, $8.10 Even has a picture on it. Of a late model GM king cab in maroon. I drive a white 2003 ford f350 standard cab 4x4. Plate number was mine but definetally not my truck. Had to download a dispute form. What's next. My truck never goes more than 20 miles away. Never been to Indianna cept once in a friends audi.
That's just crazy and what a pain in the a$$ to deal with!
I think such systems are a major violation of privacy and have no business on public roadways for the purposes of traffic enforcement.
Odds are they will canvas the entire nation with these cameras, making self driving almost impossible without multiple citations...
It's crooked, and I have gotten charges for toll roads while visiting Florida and Colorado. Never fails, a few months after we get a bill for $3-$10 dollars.
In your case it's worse because it wasn't you! But this just shows the technology is not up to par!

Mucho pain in the ass. I figured all this technology crap would fail. They had my plate number and got my address it would also have shown that is nowhere near my truck! How much more pain in the ass to clear up a small bill I don't owe. Stopped by staties and truck confiscated taken to county?
Yes that has not happened but I expect it to. Why would a late model GM have my plate? There were 2 tolls, one back 2017 one 2018. Big brother bullshit.
Could be that someone from another state has the exact same plate number as you, and for whatever reason they are recognizing it as your plate! Not that it makes any difference, it's still totally wrong!
They should enact some $10k penalty for companies that get it wrong - mandatory! Then I bet you they would take a little more caution before trying to be judge / jury and executioner before they send out the tickets.
In all my cases I did use the "fast lane", if only because I was on vacation and I didn't feel like waiting in what amounted to almost "rigged" traffic jams. Once you pull into the fast lane you might as well stay there and speed with everyone else because you're going to get charged for use of the "fast lane" either way.
I hope you stay on them and fight it off! Don't let them bastards run you down the brim road! Make em' pay! Research laws, tort's ect - to recoup your time and effort. No one I know would stand for such abuse!

Here in the blue states our roads are socialized, so we don't have these problems. There was an effort by some of our state Republican reps to sell off some highways to private for profit corporations, but luckily the Democratic majority put a stop to that idea.
Not with all the Koch Brothers money from out of state, no. Wisconsin has the best governor special interest money can buy. Luckily I'm in Minnesota though.
Sure, there are lots of "doin it" spots in the Twin Cities, You'd have a blast. We are kind of like Wisconsin, except cleaner, classier, and we have a much more vibrant and diversified economy that isn't based entirely on cheese production.

Hard to imagine exact same in KY/IN, it's a farm plate. Penaltys would be good, straighten their asses out. They used a pic of my plate, got my name. Look ONE LINE furthur and see the truck description.
Oh I'll fight it. Can't afford a lawyer. My time, postage, download forms ink and paper and AGGRAVATION against automation I hate. I'll talk to the county clerk see who else has my plate!

I don't think KY has any toll roads at all. Just don't get it.
We've had them here for ages, & yes, IMO I'd have to say get yourself a motorcycle, as here at least, you escape having to pay any fees LOL !
Shawnee, sadly, you're going to have to spend a lot of time convincing them that it wasn't you...I'd grab a Certified statement from your local Traffic Authority ( the folks where you pay your registration fees ), along with a clear photo of your truck, its plates & color etc.
Having that official stamp from these people along with your photo should provide an escape route from further prosecution.
Don't get angry with them as SELLC mentioned, as they can & will make life difficult for you.
Just think of it as unexpected bollox like Jury Duty, where you have no choice but to play-the-game...

They had all the info from my plate, they couldn't have read my truck description and saw it was the wrong truck? I plan on a run to the clerk and see what if anything they can do to cover me. I sent in the dispute form, see what happens. Yup, I expect it won't be easy annnnnnnnd likely to happen again.
I always stay nice, calm. It works. Kind of a Kentucky thing with people around here. Pretty good people, laid back, refuse to speak bad of anyone even.
Why do they call it the "Twin" Cities, PowerStroker?
Is there a Trump hotel in the city? Maybe a Hilton at least?
Minneapolis and St. Paul.
No Trump Hotel here, but lots of Hotels that are WAY BETTER than any Trump properties including; Hilton, Marriot, Radisson, and Motel 6.
Very interesting and a good selection of quality hotels too.
Would you say the Twin Cities are more liberal leaning or conservative? In other words, should I pack my Trump hat or do you think that might not be a good idea?
