A University of Mississippi professor tweeted out a disgusting message calling for harassment of Republicans and for people opposing Republicans to stick fingers in their food. James Thomas is an assistant professor of sociology who said he feels Republicans dont deserve civility and tweeted this:
Who should replace Nikki Haley as our ambassador to the U.N.?
Dont just interrupt a Senators mean yall. Put your whole damn fingers in their salads. Take their apps and distribute them to the other diners. Bring boxes and take their food home with you on the way out. They dont deserve your civility.
Ole Miss Chancellor Jeffrey Vitter issued a statement:
A recent social media post by a UM faculty member did not reflect the values articulated by the university, such as respect for the dignity of each individual and civility and fairness. While I passionately support free speech, I condemn statements that encourage acts of aggression. I urge all members of the Ole Miss community to demonstrate civility and respect for others and to honor the ideal of diversity of thought that is a foundational element of the academy.
Professor Thomas has since doubled down on his protest towards Republicans. He has been condemned by the Ole Miss Chancellor but we have a feeling he doesnt give a damn. Fire him and then see if he wakes up
Thomas recently penned a pro-socialist article asking if you might see a chapter of Democratic Socialists at Ole Miss:
Democratic socialists also embrace a suite of social rights that provide people with free or subsidized childcare, parental leave, education, healthcare, and social security, while also protecting the environment. Some of these social rights already exist in the United States in limited form. Democratic socialists want to enshrine these rights in the Constitution and fund them through a progressive taxation scheme targeting the wealthy and the powerful.
If this guy was teaching my child, I would remove her from his class and ask for a refund. Anyone who belives that America should become Venezuela is a dunce.
