Back in those days, the liberal party was called the "Jeffersonian Republicans" which is why I said conservative instead of Republican. As you may recall, the slave states (like Kentucky) have always been conservative, even though at one time they went for the Democratic party. If you look at a map showing slave states, and a map showing modern politically red states, there isn't much difference. Good thing the liberal yankees from the north squashed your little insurrection.

I wasn't living here during the civil war so can't know that.

I don't think so. Need boys clubs, girls clubs, separate. 11-17 is not time to be SO involved in the opposite sex, a big problem in the US. Coed football teams next?
