Fresh from attacking the Israel lobby in the US, Rep. Ilhan Omar has let loose on another Democratic idol: former President Barack Obama. Omar accused Obama of murder while hiding behind the pretty face and the smile.

Ilhan Omars supposedly anti-Semitic comments on the Israel lobby have thrust the Muslim congresswoman into the spotlight recently, dividing the party and forcing a vote on a resolution that sort-of condemned her statements.

With the did-she, didnt-she anti-Semitism controversy still playing out, Omar turned on former President Barack Obama, who, to many in her party, is above criticism. The Minnesota lawmaker told Politico that Obama stood for the status quo, and not for any real hope and change.

From the caging of kids at the US-Mexico border to the droning of countries around the world, Omar argued that the Democratic Party leaders policies were no better, morally speaking, from the policies of the current administration.

We cant be only upset with Trump. His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was, Omar said. And thats not what we should be looking for anymore. We dont want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile.

While the left castigated Trump for separating illegal immigrant children from their families at the border last year, the Obama administration also isolated and detained children while their parents court cases were being processed. Obama also stepped up the US targeted killing campaign, using drones to strike suspected terrorists in Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, and Omars native Somalia. Around 2,500 people were killed in theses strikes, up to 800 of them civilians, according to conflicting figures from the US Government and the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.

Politico described Omar as part of an insurgent activist wing swallowing up the partys establishment. The election of Trump certainly galvanized this wing, driving the party leftwards and propelling self-declared socialists like Rep. Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez (D-New York) to household name status.

Seemingly emboldened by the recent controversy, Omars agitation has widened the divide between the suit-and-tie Democrat establishment exemplified by Rep. Juan Vargas warning that any criticism of Israel is unacceptable  and this rising activist wing.

Omar herself wasnt always as disruptive, though. As a Minnesota State Representative, Omar bid a fond farewell to Obama before Trumps inauguration in 2017, calling him a source of inspiration, hope and change.

Ilhan Omar is not even American born! Shame on you Shawnee!

This woman is a loose cannon and needs to find another line of work!

I do think her Turban is more appropriate than her hood though... But if Ilhan thinks she can talk $hit about our on again off again fence-jumping college tuition grant mooching Hawaiian born President she is wrong!

The only reason Rashida got away with her foul mouth is because she is a Detroit born American, and because the word fuck is a common word here in the metro-Detroit area.

Ilhan is making enemies, or this could just be one big snow-job that you people are falling for... Democrats know they are unpopular, thus separating themselves from past Presidents makes it appear that they are a whole new brand.

Screw that and pass legislation that calls for only natural born citizens for congress with a minimum of 35 years living in the country!

I agree Shawnee, but what are we going to do?

It is obvious that President Trump is satisfied with his citizenship credentials, and that being the case, I don't really see how denying Obama his legacy (good or bad) will serve any good.

Don't get me wrong, he is still a Dirty Democrat, but he has personality... and personality goes a long way! LOL

As his bomber jacket says, he is #44... famous to some, infamous to others.

Id imagine its always been about Obama every since his name was Berry and he was mooching off the Kenyan government for Tuition. I personally think in doing so he renounced his US citizenship, but you know how Democrats are - so full of themselves..

I think Obama was born in Hawaii and lied to get foreign aid while at Columbia...

 

I am torn on Ilhan Omar...

Even though I completely disagree with her remarks...her remarks are EXACTLY why we have a first amendment in this country...

Trying to restrict free speech under the guise of racism or anti-semitism is wrong...

She was elected by her district who expect her to represent their views...

She is the poster child of why taking refugees from the middle are a bad idea...particularly when there are places all around Somalia that align more to that way of thinking...

No one is trying to restrict Omar's right to free speech, but it should be noted that she is not natural born.

We need to insist that only natural born citizens are allowed to serve as congresspeople also! 

They claim illegal immigration amounts to a district a year! 

And now we know what happens when we take in refugees and illegals - they form pocket districts and spread out from there.

Democrats have been moving minorities from City to City trying to improve their numbers... Texas is a state that is under siege. 

If we look at Detroit city after the "white flight" it becomes obvious that after they burn down a city they can re-assign people to different cities as less are needed. All the people who leave will eventually find within 5 years that all the crap they thought they were leaving followed them! And the cycle goes on and on and on.

Actually yes they are...

 

Her comments were directly related to our countries support of Israel...they are then labelled as anti-semitic and she was asked to apologize for her remarks...

 

Everyone knows she can not run for president...but she can be a representative...and as such should be allowed to openly share her views...

 

I think her views will lose her support of the democratic party...but ONLY if she is allowed to express them freely...

 I considered that too. Either way he is a liar and always has always will be. However I do not believe he was born in HAwaii. Too  many inconsistencies besides the foreign aid. NO HOSPITAL will admit he was born there. SSI from a man dead in CT 1800's? His mom worked ssi office. Selective service reg problems. Both his grandmother and his half brother say he was born in Kenya, she died right after admitting. The 2004 AP article "Kenyan born man gets senate". Fact he used Kenya as his birth place with his publisher or whomever until his presidential aspirations in 2005-6. There's more.

 

Her district is all just like her! Thanks to Obama placing a whole district there for her. I'm kinda torn too. I like that she speaks her piece but on the other hand she has no place in our 535.

I would contend that they are doing a lot more than "scrambling".

These people (the establishment) have been able to do much more than "damage control", they have literally tied up a sitting President with a fake investigation and it's unprecedented!

This fake investigation cost Republicans the house in 2018 and may cause the President the election in 2020 if it's not dealt with.

Which dems do not do. They actually believe because the Whitehouse released the "true BC" and so it's true? Again, no argument these dems are so fuking retarded no argument possible.
