The now-completed probe has not resulted in charges that anyone associated with Trump coordinated with the Russians.

While several people were indicted of Federal Crimes....NOT one of those indictments or convictions had anything to do with Russian collusion...

Sounds like after two years they realize it was nothing more than a witch hunt...

My family loves my beef stew, but about halfway though the pot, no matter how much beef I toss in, we tend to run out of meat. No problem; I just add peas, carrots, celery, green beans and corn, along with an couple of cups of water, and we have beef vegetable soup.

Now that the long-awaited day has come wherein the Mueller priest has delivered up his catechism to the Attorney General, we find ourselves in much the same position: after all this careful browning, chopping, sweating, seasoning, stirring and simmering, when we peer into the stewpot where so many in politics and the media have now dined, we find plenty of gravy, but wheres the beef?

No indictments, no evidence of collusion, no handcuffs for Donald Trump in fact, not much of anything. No, I havent read the High Priests report. Im taking a chance here: if there were anything at all juicy in it, we would have heard about it. (Kindly do not tell me that the sieve surrounding this investigation thus far has suddenly contracted into an impermeable membrane of secrecy. The leaks would have numerous and we would by now know every detail.)

But those hoping that the President of the United States was a traitor and a spy have been disappointed a strange state of affairs, to be sure, when our nations congressional leaders fervently wish such a thing to be true. But they are undismayed.

Like me, short of one crucial ingredient, they are now tossing as many vegetables as they can into the still-simmering broth of investigatory zeal. The President must now do this, and that, and this other thing, they all proclaim. But the President has shown a marked disinclination to accept instruction from these barking seals, and we can safely assume that he will honor these demands with the insulting dismissal that has become his hallmark.

The Attorney General likewise is tasked with a laundry list of you have to demands, all of which, save one, he can safely laugh it. The one he has to take seriously is the probability of a congressional subpoena.

But all the congress can do is compel him to show up. He can tell them what he wants, and if they want more, he can tell them to go shit in their hats.

Yet the vegetables continue to fly with each passing hour, as a growing throng of bitter supplicants and frustrated gaolers chime in, apparently unaware how much joy their tears brings to that part of the Republic that still detests a lynch mob, and who does not mistake zealotry for patriotism.

Maybe Im wrong, and within the report are the seeds of Trumps destruction. If not, however, I will spend a few moments of my declining years thinking back with fondness on the sight of Rachel Maddow choking back tears, and that silly congressman hyperventilating as he gibbered with outrage, still not quite able to accept that he had been utterly, thoroughly and publicly humiliated by one Donald J. Trump.

Hail to the Chief.

While the FBI was leaking worse than the Stanley Cup after a rough all-nighter with Alex Ovechkin, reporters were funneling gifts pay-offs if you will back to the leakers in the form of tickets to sporting events, golf outings, dinners, drinks, invites to private exclusive parties and more.

In other words, the complaints about the biased media working with biased and powerful federal bureaucrats who meet at private and elite cocktail parties to plot their own agenda and the downfall of their political enemies was not some paranoid fever dream of the conservative media it was true and, apparently, business as usual in Obamas Washington circa 2016.

Well I guess congratulations are in order. Mueller didn't find proof that his campaign colluded with Russia. So either they didn't collude, or they were damn sneaky about it. My guess is they probably didn't, or at least Trump didn't know about it. Though it is clear Russia was doing everything they could to get him elected anyway. With regard to obstruction of justice, Mueller just laid out the evidence for and against, and is leaving it to Congress to decide. If I were Nancy though I wouldn't make the Gingrich mistake of overplaying my hand by impeachment and thus handing him a second term on a silver platter. Let the voters decide in 2020.

You sure the Russians wanted Trump? I believe they wanted HRC. They had her in their pocket for ever. Take an unknown that can't be bought VS HRC who has always been bought? Homie don't believe that.

Under Obama Putin expanded his nations land to include Crimea! It was also under Obama that Putin was almost considered the most powerful person on the planet - he wasn't, but that perception was being floated quite often by just about everyone!
