These sorts of gimmicks are the Hallmark of Tesla... while in this case it's just a funny joke, in many cases they actually oversell their cars every day much like in this ad. 

When a cars claim to fame is an over-the-air update that makes your turn signals sound like a fart, then perhaps they are trying to tell you that GAS really is the best way! LOL
