I think the 9th circuit is about the most partisan court in the country with over 78% of their cases being overturned by the Supreme Court!

LOL, given the money at stake I'd be willing to bet this Judge is overturned by the SCOTUS in short order.

Why do liberals have such a problem securing our borders? Oh that's right, you guys rely on them illegals to keep California's electoral numbers high and voting Democrat.

Things are getting bad in California, tomorrow they will all be paying the highest gas tax in the nation! I am willing to bet a lot of Democrats are going to be losing their jobs in California come 2020..

And in two weeks ICE is going to deport all them illegals in California.

Enjoy!

Democrats in CONGRESS just appropriated funds for border security...

Turns out their little stand against Trump has back fired dramatically...

What they saw as a quick VICTORY over Trump will cost the oval office in 2020...

Turns out what they declared as a fake crisis was QUITE REAL....

This is a political battle that the democrats will lose and it will cost them...

The last time they were in power they made it a law that every citizen who did not obtain healthcare had to pay a hefty tax...

Now they are campaigning that illegals will get free healthcare paid for by American citizens...

So democrats FINE Americans....yet will offer up free coverage to illegals..

The ninth district gets 8 of 10 decisions overturned by the SCOTUS...

PS The pentagon can do what ever it wants with money appropriated to defense...

IF the pentagon feels the need for a border wall to protect the country they can use money appropriated to defense for such purposes...

SCOTUS will over turn this one...

What is absolutely HYSTERICAL....Democrats thought they made some shrewd political statement when they came into power in the House back in January...

What history will show, is democrats failed to act on a real crisis to make a stand against a president they hate...

They now realize they must act and quickly to fund the border or this one issue will kill their chances in 2020....

Democrats dug in their heels on a real problem, and did so to pander for power...which is becoming all too common with the identity politics of the left...

The sound bites past of how awful and cruel President Trump is and how damaging his policies are...

Only they are called LAWS not just his policies...his administration is trying to enforce them and with ZERO help from democrats...

Now they talk about under staffed, under supplied and under funded detention centers at the border and cry it is all the Presidents fault...

Only someone in the party realized that democrats were the ones creating those problems because they refused to act....

AND now they are appropriating money to deal with the crisis they claim was fake and made up...

There is a root cause for the huge influx of refugees - climate change induced crop failure in Central America.

Treat the causes not the symptoms guys.

So now it is real not fake, but the fault of climate change....

The left wing narrative is so full of shit...

It just feels like non-stop bullshit PowerStroker...

They are leaving because their home countries have failed them, and if people like you keep up with this nonsense it won't be long before our country lets us down as we go broke trying to save the world.

If you are feeling all pathetically liberal today, just take solace in knowing that 10 out of 10 people will die.

The biggest sector of their economy is agriculture. When growing conditions become so bad that agriculture fails and brings their economy with it, what do you expect their government to do about it.

The reason I'm not nearly as concerned about the border, is because not only do we still have a net migration (more people leaving the country than coming in), but the climate changes that lead to their current situation is in no small part due to us. They are human beings just like us, and I feel some responsibility for their plight. That you guys don't, is honestly disturbing to me. It is possible that all humans will eventually need to move farther and farther away from the equator, when it's our turn I hope Canada is more understanding than you guys have been.

How expensive could it be for them to import the food in and ride it out? I mean really!?

That you feel partly responsible for these people is your own problem! As I have already said, we're all going to die one day...

When it is your turn PowerStroker it's not going to matter how much money you have, how much pity you had for others (which is a sin by the way), or how popular/famous you are... All the people of the world could feel responsible and pity for you but it's not going to change the fact we all must face. I'm all for living better and longer, but to do that the first person you have to look out for is yourself and your family. Outside of them, I really dont have anything extra I can spare and suggest getting a job or doing something to change your current conditions that don't involve breaking our laws and expecting free hand outs for doing so.

Can you get your thick head around that PowerStroker?

Oh the humanity!

The faster route to move away from the equator would have been south not north...

They come here for our social safety net...

We have citizens that have a need that is not being met that have been paying in and working to make this a better place...

Our citizens should take a priority and the fact you do not see this is disturbing to me...

What happens when these illegals show up in mass numbers and get admitted to the country only to find that living in America is a full time job too?

Would they live on the streets and form camps of helplessness while they get drunk all day and reproduce little anchor babies for us to take care of from cradle to grave!?

Would they become overwhelmed and homicidal and start killing people?

American Flags and Confederate battle flags apparently. That way you honor the United States, and the history of those who didn't want to be a part of it.

I think in that day, you and Shawnee would have been Democrats. Amazing how things have changed isn't it? Nuffan would still have been a Republican though because that was the new pro business party of the time that sold itself out to the railroad barons, which just sounds like something the Nuffan of the day would do.

Actually I am a Constitutional Conservative...

And the republican party does not resemble that in the least...

Trump is the most conservative president of my lifetime...and is not part of the corruption that has become the establishment...

I will from 2016 forward never ever cast a vote for a democrat again...maybe an independent....

but I have no blind loyalty to a political party...just a complete hatred of what the democratic party has become and what it represents...

It's a crisis for the refugees, not for the United States which could actually use an influx of labor right now. Have you been out for fast food lately? It's an understaffed shit show, and we could use some more workers.

A) your article says drought was the cause...you expanded drought to mean climate change....but the part you can not reconcile is less than six months ago democrats claimed there was no issue...it was all just made up by Trump..

I will speak for myself thank you very much, and I maintain what I said above. I will further expand on it by adding that when Trump cut foreign aid to those countries, it helped to increase the acuteness of their crisis and inspired them to seek a better life here, and by better life I mean not starving to death. Perhaps the cutting of foreign aid didn't have the desired result, Democrats could have told you guys as much had you asked, but there is a severe lack of intellectual curiosity within the Republican ranks these days.

B) there is always some left wing hack job somewhere out there that will align to your narrative...

Good, the same is true on your side btw:

Completely refusing to acknowledge that the left wing first claimed there was NO CRISIS...Then claimed it was a MANUFACTURED CRISIS...Now all of a sudden it is a real CRISIS brought on by CLIMATE CHANGE....

and it was not my article just pointing out how the narrative on this single issue has changed repeatedly by the left wing...

and you try and duck the reality...

No we do not need an influx of labor...

fast food needs more labor???? lol most of them are moving to self check out systems...

but that reality does not serve your agenda of open borders does it....

I can't speak for the entire left wing, but I maintain that it is a crisis for climate refugees, but not a crisis for the United States as we could actually benefit from them if they are willing to become productive members of our society.

From your point of view as a parasite I can see your confusion, but there is such a thing as a symbiotic relationship.

I pay over 40K annually in federal taxes I am far from a parasite...

well the left wing in January denied it was a crisis at all...in February they then claimed it was manufactured by the Trump administration...

6 months later they finally appropriate money to help deal with the REAL CRISIS at our southern border....

6 months later they realize that the FACTS do not favor their position...and the issue and their stance taken was going to hurt their chance in 2020...

YOU want to conflate a family showing up at our border and requesting asylum with 100K people showing up demanding entry to our country.

Democrats wasted 6 months chasing a bullshit Russia collusion narrative rather than deal with the floods of people arriving at our southern border...

Making it sound like it was ONLY a Donald Trump thing to put people in "CAGES" the chain link facilities were built before Trump took office...and people just showing up were detained in these same facilities.

It was nothing less than a LEFT WING LIE from the start...

It is a crisis for the United States...

Democrats will fine an American citizen for not purchasing health insurance and same democrats want to give FREE HEALTHCARE to undocumented aliens...

Taxes paid by American citizens are meant to provide services for American citizens....

I'm not saying grant them citizenship and give them voting rights if that's what you're afraid of. I merely think that they could be given provisional residency and an opportunity to seek employment while they await their asylum hearing. And if a judge does grant asylum, even then they could just be granted permanent resident status without voting rights. At that point if they want citizenship, they can get in line behind everybody else.

It's a humanitarian crisis for many people who were dependent on a failing agriculture industry that we helped create, and one we can help solve.

And if we do it in the manner I suggest, they would pay taxes just like you and me.

You assume they can and will get a job and you have no contingency for what might take place if they are unable or unwilling to get a job....

The United States is NOT responsible for these people....

We have a true duty to our own citizens....

And until ALL of our citizens are taken care of we have no business taking on refugees from another country...

And NO you can not grant someone permission to live here work here and pay taxes without giving them the right to vote....and you know that...

Here is the great news....they will not be allowed to just enter the country until at least 2024...

Thanks to your party...lol

Only citizens can vote in Federal, State, and most local elections. Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders) cannot vote until they become naturalized U.S. citizens.

Conflating again...

I understand the law....

The point is if someone is living here and working here and paying taxes here...then they have a right to vote...

remember no taxation without representation...

The founding principal of our system of government...

You want to use temporary status as a means for capitulation...

WE have homeless people in this country...we can not afford to take on the entire planets population...

and we should not until we have taken better care of our veterans and citizens...

Why do you insist on giving more to non citizens than actual American citizens?

Democrats have created this situation at the border and it is going to cost the TAX PAYERS a lot of money to clean up the mess that has been created...

We are trying to feed and provide for these people and democrats refused all funding...

Now democrats are claiming republicans are to blame?

democrats hold the power in the house and hold the check book...

Not the place of the American Tax Payer to aid foreign countries...

And again taking our money and giving it away would have done NOTHING to prevent this crisis...

I think foreign aid should be more or less a loan, with their country as collateral...

Then again, at $22+ trillion in debt and a price tag of $68k per head I'm not feeling on that "high moral ground". How much of that money has been given to others in the form of "aid" over the decades will for sure need to be taken into account because these aid seekers (China included) need to pay back that money with interest once they get back on their feet.

Does the national debt include things like war, foreign aid and other such assistance to other countries? If so, how much of that $22 Trillion have we loaned / doled out to other countries and are they going to pay it back!?

Well, that being the case - and with all the money and aid that we have given over the decades, I think it's safe to say we are owed quite a bit of money! I'd like to think our paid representatives are looking into that!

Unfortunately it was not "foreign loans" it was "foreign aid"

But the United States has helped many countries, countries a lot OLDER than the United States...

It is our Free Market Principals that have allowed this...

It is why the rest of the world is rapidly adopting Capitalism and moving away from Socialism....

Even Norway is privatizing their National Pension Program...They have realized they can not sustain the system and they have the highest taxes...so high that raising them is just not possible anymore...

China is becoming a world economic power due to following the Capitalist model of Singapore (who followed the economy of the United States)

Democrats arguments are failing one by one...

And the lies they have told about the current president are coming home to roost...

Does the national debt include things like war, foreign aid and other such assistance to other countries? If so, how much of that $22 Trillion have we loaned / doled out to other countries and are they going to pay it back!?

The national debt represents every dollar borrowed by our government since 1913...

Well, that being the case - and with all the money and aid that we have given over the decades, I think it's safe to say we are owed quite a bit of money! I'd like to think our paid representatives are looking into that!

Only country has ever paid back anything they owed us was Sweden. Period.

LOL !

Have no-doubt that the media here is just as poor as yours, though the article did have some humor in there.

What it didn't state is whether the car was a LHD import that was converted or not. And it suggested that the car was possessed....Too much electric garbage in there that failed maybe ??? I doubt it. ( Unless the likely fly-by-wire throttle rests at WOT when it fails lol )...

I personally feel that 7.4-ltrs of engine capacity is right-on-the-mark, & every car should have an option for such capacity. They have the designs & fueling well-sorted out these days, & larger engines have an in built characteristic of efficiency, & less pollution out-put.

We have to remember that every-drop-of-fuel contains "x" amount of stored energy within it, & larger engines release that energy more efficiently. Perhaps the only advantage of small engines is their ability to drink less fuel when idling at traffic lights. Driver needs & habits dictate your best options imo.

*As an example, my Dads 280SLC ( 2.8ltr 6-cyl. ) drinks more fuel than my Moms CLK500 ( 5.5ltr V-8 )...The 280 will use around 11.0 ltrs over 100-km traveled, & the 500 can & does see a regular 8.5 ltrs consumption over the same distance, & it's double the capacity of the 280...

(When I jumped in my Moms car, the fuel economy changed to around 13-ltrs per 100 km traveled, but even that is not an unreasonable figure).

As for the posted story, well, no-one knows the real reason behind what had happened...And even a little 4-5-litre V-8 or 6-cyl powered car can do the same thing with the right driver.

As Mr.Trumpdt would say "You're fake news", & that sums-it-up.
