Looks like one of the many issues that will be decided in 2020 is that of a wealth tax....
MANY of the democrats are proposing such a tax...including Elizabeth Warren...
What democrats do not want anyone to know is that in 1990 there were 12 countries with a wealth tax....
in 2017 there were only 4 countries still using a wealth tax....
The reason why is a wealth tax A) did not produce the level of revenue that was expected. B) it had harsh side effect to the countries GDP. C) a wealth tax is not an high income tax....it taxes net worth year after year, so you are paying a tax on earnings already taxed...
** Switzerland does not have PROPERTY TAX and instead uses a wealth tax... the other part democrats do not want you to understand is that property taxes are spent at the local level and a wealth tax is used at a national level.
DEMOCRATS want BOTH...property taxes and a wealth tax...
