Smart man...He was right in 1992...NAFTA was not a good deal for America...it was only a good deal for few business owners who needed to reduce labor cost with third world labor...These are the VERY issue Trump has been working to reverse and it is WORKING...
Say what you like about Trump...He is right about our trade deals are not good for the country or our economy as a whole...Perot predicted EXACTLY what happened...and that same principal that began with NAFTA has propelled China into an economic power...
These trade agreements have been GREAT for the rest of the world...but catastrophic for the American economy...
Perot was not politically correct, he just like Trump are just shrewd business men...America needed a shrewd business man in the oval office...

Just an FYI - in 1992 I was still a junior in high school, unable to vote.
But I agree that in American politics you have to either be attractive or a celebrity. Often times the best man or woman for the job takes a back seat to these vain characteristics.

Perot, just like Trump was a non establishment billionaire businessman....
His whole platform was to prevent the US from shipping jobs out of the country...
Everything that took place after NAFTA was predicted by Perot...
It is exactly what Trump is trying to rectify now...and so far Trumps actions are working...
Establishment Politicians on both sides got RICH pushing through NAFTA...Perot and Trump were never part of the establishment...
I liked the guy, & remember him well, even through the limited coverage of your elections we get over here. ( In fact, I'm pretty sure I even ( jokingly ) referred to him to run against Mr.Trump in 2016 in some posts here ).
Everyone's time comes sooner or later, & no doubt his donations to charities & positive activist groups will be remembered & respected for a long time to come. He supported lots of good organizations over the years, & no doubt his will, shall contain continued & ongoing generous donations to these folks.
