You make a very good point there Rastus! But we all know the mistakes that can come from letting an inexperienced independent into office and that is why historically speaking these people have very little chance of influencing the entire nation.

That being said, it will probably come down to Biden / Trump in 2020...

I just don't see anyone else more center than Biden on the Democrat team... Sanders, Harris, and Yang are all the Ross Perot's of the 2020 election. The big brand name is Biden, in fact they should have run him against Trump in 2016 much like Republicans should have run Romney against Obama in 2008.

And may I also remind Nuffan that the NORTH won the last Civil War... Why? Because we can handle 6 months of winter!

Don't get me wrong Rastus, I hope the market keeps it's upward momentum! Even if I don't own any myself I know a lot of peoples retirements and even the economy as a whole is tied to the market so anyone hoping for a market crash would have to be hedged accordingly - but even still - if a full on melt down occurs I think even the winners who are hedged would still end up being losers.

The impeachment is a 100% partisan hit job in my opinion, I am not even wasting my time following it outside of major headlines. The idea that impeachment has become so petty really bothers me because had we known then what we know now we could have impeached Obama a few times and really slowed him down too! The proceedings will never get under way "proper" because this whole sham is anything but proper. 

Not a lib, he was an anit-government guy. Basically he's even more conservative than the Trump supporter that he killed.

Perhaps he should have explained that before becoming a pin cushion for a trowel?

In a civilian court? What if their crime is criminal, and there is no Police? Do we just plug em' and roll them in the street for the weekly trash collection? 

Courts are hardly civilian anymore... most of the times prosecutors and the police all but force people to render a specific vertic based on already pre-concived laws and back room deals to keep or present evedence that are decided by a Judge - who will also go thru a big speech at the end about how to perceve or weigh the evidence. Only in very high profile cases where people have the funds to pay for a top notch legal team does it ever seem to be examened, and in many cases now days the press is blocked anyway. 

Many Judges will tell you the court system was designed to be erosive, as to encourage people to work it out themselves. The gambit of court is such that you could spend five years arguing a small open and closed case because everyone has their hand out wanting more and more money. In a criminal case it is the entire court, police and the alledged victim against you. They will all bend the rules to ensure they can get the results they want, which is money most of the times. 

A civil war may very well be on the horizon. The real dangers are when the fractions start to take on allies who were once our adversaries. The only people who would lose are the American people, as always it seems.
