Does it make me weird that I actually thought about going to Miami just so I could say I been thru a hurricane? I mean, I have never been thru a tornado - nor do I have any desire to... but something about a hurricane sounds almost sexy... I actually mulled it!
Also, in other Miami related news, I found out that I eat like a family of five Raccoons today... so there is that!

Now it would seem the meteorologist don't know where the hell Dorian is going, but they are actively complaining about social meteorologist drawing attention to the fact that anyone can guess!
The whole idea that weather can not be predicted from day to day, let alone decades out are the 100 lb. gorilla in the room that nobody wants to talk about.
The storms erratic behavior has been particularly hard to track. Adding to meteorologists woes are the many amateurs tracking the storm on their own and challenging the accuracy of expert forecasters.

The weather people on CNN were so fun to watch last year during their updates on Hurricane Michael. Naturally, they were so dramatic and they could barely stand in the wind and rain, but people were walking just fine right behind him in live time. CNN really is fake news all the way around.
Stellar I can assure you there isn't anything sexy about being in a hurricane. The water came up so high and right into our back yards There were all kinds of sharks after us....it was just like Sharknado..Jaws wanted in the kitchen for a little something to eat. What a mess!

Them poor people in the North Bahamas! They got pummeled at a Cat5 level for a long period! Storm just stalled over the island and yet only 5 people died! I find that quite remarkable for a CAT5!
Seems like they are claiming the hurricane is going to ride just on the outside edge and sputter out along the way.
Although they have been quick to take notice of Trump getting in a few rounds of golf, so if it does pick up intensity in the ocean and slam into a costal city it's not going to be good optics for him in this lead up to an election year.

Glad to hear you guys avoided the worst of the hurricane. You are right that the season is just getting started, hopefully we can make it thru with as little carnage as possible.
