I am a newbie to all these boards but here is my cheap old 280CE Euro coupe. I though it was a good deal at $300.00 but it has turned out to be my most expensive lawn ornament so far. Hopefully one day you will hear me say it's alive.
she runs now, she needed a new fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, and gas tank. I also cleaned out fuel distributor and replaced the plug wires with correct ones. Plan to change plugs and run compression test. Then I plan on changing oil and trans fluids and filters.
She still needs a set of good tires and the brake pad indicator comes on when I brake.
As for the body well she ain't no super model, front fenderwells are trash and passenger's rear floor and under driver's seat is rusted out as are jack points. Plenty of surface rust at trunk and hood edges. But nothing that can't be fix or that is structual.
Good point's it's a Euro without EGR, Air pump, cats, evaporator canistor. The heated seats still work and seats have no tears. Power windows work but sunroof does not retract.
I installed a cold ait intake kit and with the factory euro exhaust she sound real sweet.
