Help to pick a name

Just wondering some suggestions that we should name the site. What I mean is what domain name should we use? We have these names we are considering for direct access to the forum,


www.sellc.us


www.126world.us


www.benzworld.us


www.thebigthree.com (Have not checked it for avalability yet)



Anyone have any other ideas? For now I think I am just going to forward all hits from www.sellc.us to the big three that way its short and sweet.

IMO the big three and benzworld are too much like other sites and 126world is too exclusive considering that you have all sorts of cars and brands listed here. Go with sellc or somekind of generic motoring name.

Sounds like a good idea.. I will start the www.sellc.us domain to forward to the active boards forum until the back end is ready for the deployment of the benzworld.us domain. Save the best for last I guess.

Well I went to forward the domain www.sellc.us to the Big Three however I had forgotten that SELLC was opened even before AutoTrend therefore dynamic links from some 5 years ago started to fail. The end result was a total disaster with the entire enterprise hosting system failing due to broken links. If everyone could have seen this they would have laughed there asses off. Good thing I caught it before it went on a few days.


So since I can not use the SELLC domain for this forum I forwarded the www.benzworld.us domain as it has no links that host data or images.


I can’t say that I will ever remove the Corvette/Camaro/Ford Mustang forums as we do a lot of work with them lines of vehicles and feel it will eventually get frequented by customers resulting in a more mixed crowd and diverse opinions. Not to mention some kick ass debates. I will say that I move to start adding more and more of the more popular Mercedes Benz lines over time with there own forum. I don’t want to flush the system with empty forums so I will continue to build the others.


What would you say the most popular 10 Mercedes models are? Perhaps we should start with only the sedans?


I want to have a public forum that people can generally meet swap info and carry on however I want the back end of our system for the customers and identified professionals to share information on a more personal and professional basis. It will be interesting to say the least. We have over 250 photo CD customers whom we plan to e-mail the new forum to. When people want an update to there CD they will have to register. So we will see some fresh meat in here soon.


www.benzworld.us is a good start for the Mercedes folks. Guess I should also get a few more domain names to forward to the big three like chevyforums.com and fordforums.com that way I can advertise them in there markets.


Having a solid domain name is the first step in getting it on the search engines. We need a few more in the GM/Ford arena.


Any thoughts are welcome, and thank you to the moderators whom been here since day one.
