Hmmmm... 604 horsepower out of a twin turbo charged SOHC 6 Liter (5.98) V12 at a cost of only $182,275? At that price I will hold off for the DOHC 6.0 TTV12! Yeah right!

Now that GM has the ZR1 Corvette rated at 620+ Horsepower Mercedes will have to offer the DOHC version of this engine to squeeze out the power needed to top the Vette.

Does anyone know what 2008/2009 holds for Mercedes and AMG in terms of HP or engine combo's?

Wrong!

Benz powerplant kicks out 738 ft/lbs of torque verses the supercharged LS9 at 595 ft/lbs. Engine for engine, Mercedes is the winner. Ofcourse you wouldn't understand that, being a mechanic an all.

I guess I have to agree with you there. Nothing beats 4 valves per cylinder and variable intake timing. AMG went back to the DOHC with their new 6.2L. It just so happens to be the worlds most powerful NA production V8. smile Hopefully they'll make a FI model in the future, preferrably twin turbos. That would be pure EVIL! furious

The way things been going that could be true, but you can still blow me.

Someone once told me they made a vehicle without a spare tire. I think it was Porsche or Mazda.

I guess I cant complain. A 420 & 560 + 03 F250 SD-TD

Not an AMG S65 but like I said, I am waiting for the DOHC Twin Turbo. LOL
