Would you put cheap gas in a V8 Mercedes-Benz 420/560?

Pretty straight forward question.

Would you put cheap gas in your Mercedes-Benz 420/560? Even though it clearly states "Premium Fuel Only"?

I asked this question on the popular web forum www.benzworld.org and the amount of people on that forum that put cheap gas in their cars is SHOCKING.

I dont think people realize what effect cheap gas has on an engine. What do you think happens when the rhythm of say 2000 rpms is interrupted by an occasional misfire due to the pre-ignition of cheap fuel? You do know what pre-ignition means right? If so you will also agree that the stress of said imbalance/misfire would felt by ALL reciprocating components.Times that by 100,000 miles.

People do not realize that certain driving conditions play an enormous role in increasing pre-ignition. For example- High RPMs and engine load such as up hill driving, driving with AC on, and extreme hot/cold weather are things that occur most every time you drive, thus the reason your instrument cluster clearly states Use Premium Fuel only.
So....... Would you put cheap gas in a Mercedes-Benz 560?I myself would rather push the car home, but some people.

Dont worry about the BenzWorld.org crowd. Once enough of them are crushed we can have a good laugh watching the masses on the BW forum cry about how they cant afford them anymore.

The best part will be when they can no longer buy these cars for peanuts. Even now they are crying about how overpriced they have become.

BenzWorld.org is for kids.

Trust that I am not worried about the crowd at the monkey house.

I buy these cars all the time in distress and I know what kind of car you get for little money. The repair cost are what scare many off, and thats why you have an infestation over there.

What I find interesting is the lack of fatual information there. Someone could post outright BS and they keep it around for some poor soul to dig up in a search.

Not many from there could handle it here. There feelings hurt too easy, and many of them are so stuck up you couldnt tell them the truth without shattering their ego. I feel sorry for the people walking on egg shells all the time over there.

Course there are my favorites, and not all of them are worthless. Its become so bad there that most of the veterans with a vested intrest just assume not waste their time there. Who could blame them, with all the bad apple in that bunch, who wants to spoil for the good of their forum?

Only Shell or Chevron gas goes into my Benzes. And even then I hate it because it is E10. The ethanol is slowly killing the fuel pumps.
