Well I have been hearing a great deal about hardship in Illinois and yet I often times wonder why people are so fucking ignorant. Wasnt Obama just trying to push for the Olympic games to be held there?

In this article it says that Illinois is not paying its bills!

I mean they are not paying for essential services and their pension program is 50% underfunded! READ THE ARTICLE!

While you are reading it, keep in mind that Chicago was the city Obama hails from. And to think Obama actually thought Chicago could afford to host the Olympics! What a fricking joke! He even wasted countless thousands flying out trying to get the bid for these Olympic Games to be held in Chicago.

I mean can anyone tell me why Obama should be given any credibility for getting the economy back in shape when these facts above are crystal clear? Am I missing something? Or does Chicago have a boat load of money tucked away that no one knows about?

The city who is chosen to host the olympics is given close to a billion dollars from the International Olympic Committee.

The Olympics would have helped Chicago's situation greatly.

Salt Lake City, Utah which hosted the Winter games in 2002ended up $155 billion in debt. Athens, Greece finished $3.1 billion over budget for hosting the 2004 games.

Please tell us where the people of Chicago were going to get this money to host the Olympics? You don't feel that Obama was setting the people of Illinois up for a HUGE debt?

Would Chicago just simpily "Not Paid" security detail like they have everything else? How would that look on international TV? It would be a national disaster, and proof further that Obama wastes a lot of time on things that do not offer a return.

Because he hails from Chigago he wanted the Olympics held there. It didn't matter Chicago was near bust, he wanted it. Same thing goes with this crappy healthcare that we are all going to have to jump thru hoops for. The American people did not want another debt, but Obama is going to give them one.

Imagine that.... For the FIRST TIME in American history all Americans will be taxed for excersizing their freedom of choice. Whats next? A new President I hope!

I would imagine the Federal Government would shell out some cash to whichever city hosted the Olympics.

I think the Government is the means through which we citizens exercise our power.  If it is a desire of the majority of Americans to host the Olympics... And we are willing to pay the cost for doing so, then by all means should our elected representatives in government work to make that happen.

I think most Americans happen to like hosting the Olympics.

I hope Shitcago goes Bankrupt! Or even better yet I hope the citizens of Chicago siege the government when they raise taxes.

And to think Chicago actually thought they had enough class to host the Olympics! Bwahahahahahaha!

The world saw right thru the bullshit there and shut down the "Political Machine" in Chicago. I wish I could have been there to see them spit in Obama's face! In the end it turned out to be another Obama vacation at the tax payers expense!

It would appear to me, by the numbers anyway; that Chicago Illinois is deeper underwater than Detroit!

Of course the population is much stronger than Detroits 700,000 people, but you have to wonder if Rham was moved there for a reason. Perhaps the major shock of Detroit going Bankrupt will just set the stage and lessen the blow for when Chicago Illinois rolls over.

Yep... Just another example of Democrat mismanagement of funds! Apparently Illinois will be handing out IOU's to any lottery winners that exceed $600 in winnings!

Also, $560 million in Pension payments will be withheld..

Did I mention that Chicago is also raising it's taxes?

I have been paying a $3k self employment tax for many years, also pay almost $2500 a year in property taxes, also pay many other taxes.

If you want to eat the corn out of my $hit, I'll be more than happy to show you proof Stoma! Until then how about you keep your wild imagination at bay?
