Recently a Muslim woman was sent home from work at a Disney for not removing her head scarf. 

I myself have found dress codes of many establishments are strict. If they don't wan't head gear, you don't wear it or find another job. It's pretty easy. Really no diffrent than telling someone to remove face or ear peircings. Do you think a company is going to hire someone in a greeting possition with their face all tattoed up? I doubt it, unless they happen to be a tattoo shop.

Now the woman is trying to make a big deal out of it, using her religion as an excuse to bend their rules and soak Disney for money. This is just a fine example of that double standard I have been talking about!

I don't disagree at all. A private company can have any dress code they want as part of their business model. If she doesn't like it, she needs to find a new job.

The House is not a private company, and it makes its own rules. As a member of the House, she is entitled to weigh in on such matters.

How do YOU feel about it?

When watching groundbreaking legislation on TV do you want to see a bunch of turbans, stetsons and KKK style outfits or do you want to clearly see who is who?

Yeah, Sharia law is bad too, no argument there. But one does not need to conform to Sharia law in order to be a Muslim. There are many peaceful Muslims in the United States and around the world who do not practice sharia law. Just as there are many good Christians who do not engage in bloody crusades to convert non Christians.

I'm still confused about why you care so much about the dress code in the House of Reps. Your desire to see the faces of people will not give you a glimpse of what is in their soul. But their actions, their voting record, that kind of stuff tells a great deal. Worrying about dress codes is to worry about the minutia that doesn't matter at a time when there are a great many things that actually do matter.
