Using someone elses Social Security number is NOT a crime!? WTF!?

Well here we have a fine example of why this nation is so fucked up...

Apparently an illegal immigrant in Colorado decided to just make up 9 digits of a social security number in order to get a job. It was later found out that the social security number he guessed belonged to a minor.

Despite the fact that this illegal immigrant used a false social security number on a job application, which by the way is used for taxes and other things, the illegal immigrant had his charges overturned because the Judge felt that he did not knowing impersonate someone else because he could have never known who exactly was the owner of the 9 digit number that he guessed.

TOTAL BULLSHIT! What is even more total bullshit is that this immigrant was able to sap suck a public defender to waste tax payer money defending him! Meanwhile REAL citizens of this country get fucked day in and day out by bullshit public defenders, if they are even lucky enough to get one!

Here is the link in case you don't believe me.

If you read the entire article you will see that a similar person got away with this even though he decided to take out a car loan and credit cars with someone else's SSN! Someone needs to report these judges to the Judicial Tenure Commission, as they clearly are drinking on the job!

I agree with you Rex, it's a bad ruling that will hopefully be overturned by a higher court.

I am glad you agree... However don't you feel that the amount of time, money a resources to go thru all this are somewhat wasteful? Especially give the fact that this person is not even a US citizen?

Meanwhile good citizens of this nation are going without good representation, while immigrants like this get royal treatment in terms of representation.

It just makes me sick to my stomach. doh

I can think of some much bigger fish we need to fry in terms of wasting tax dollars... Like the Iraq War and the Bush tax cuts.

If you don't feel you're getting good representation, I suggest you stop voting for people who hate the goverment as much as you do.

"The government is bad, elect us and we'll prove it to you."

Congratulations I guess?

PowerStroker,

I don't want you to think I hate Government. Honestly I really do feel that it is nessisary and in most cases it's the only way this nation can survive.

HOWEVER- There is corruption in government, much like anything else.

In this case the Judge is only human, and her feelings that day could have been that of mercy on the person who made up the Social Security number, however I wonder if the Judge would have felt the same way if it was her childs SS# that was pulled from thin air and used for some immigrants employment documents.

This is the problem. People are only human, and hearing things like this almost makes me feel like anymore non-citizens are getting better treatment than the actual citizens of this country.

I do not feel that the Republicans hate Government, otherwise they themselves would have no job! LOL, but I think they lean more towards setting up a system and limiting the amount of reach the government has in it's citizens lives, where as I really do feel the Democrats would be more than happy being lifetime politicians getting paid better than most anyone else for doing a job that is really more of a civic duty. I am still hung up on how that whole health care deal was shoved down my throat, I don't want to see more of that happening!
