Goldman Sachs back at it, this time with Facebook. Can they circumvent the SEC?

Well I have been saying it all along! All the efforts to pump up Facebook.com have been working, and now it seems that the owner of Facebook has learned an important lesson from MySpace's "Tom". You may ask, "What lesson is that"?

Glad you asked... Glad you asked! The lesson Mark Zuckerburg learned from MySpace's "Tom" was this.... "EVERYONE HATES A SELL OUT", especially a sell out who makes their fortune off other peoples free sharing of personal information.

But wait! It get's better! Goldman Sachs has come to Zuckerburgs rescue offering what they call a "Vehicle" to circumvent SEC regulations that companies with more than $10 million in assets or more than 499 investors must make public it's financials.

Now everyone knows Goldman Sachs has been in an unfavorable light during the economic turn down, but the brass balls of Goldman Sachs to try and circumvent the SEC is in my eye's the kind of actions that brought this nations economy to it's knees! Meanwhile Facebook's Mark Zuckerburg knows damn well his site won't stand the test of time, and that like all social websites it will fade away soon enough. Yet rather than look like another sell out like MySpaces "Tom", ole Marky will claim that he does not intended to go public, and will not turn over control of his company like "Tom" did when he sold out countless millions of MySpace members to Rupard Murdoch.

What's even more appalling about this Goldman Sachs proposed scheme is that the "Vehicle" that they wish to use to circumvent the 499 share holder limit won't be financed on Goldman Sacs dime, rather spread out to some of it's "Elite" clientele. LOL So this means that once again they may be back in the business of selling bad paper, only this time they THINK they can pull one over on the SEC. LOL!

I am VERY curious to see how this one plays out.

If the SEC cowers to Goldman Sachs and Facebook on this I think ALL commissions should be disbaned! It will then be quite obvious ALL these commissions are not here to protect the people, they are here to facilitate the companies in their schemes.

Well, this settles it....

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40914523/ns/business-us_business/?GT1=43001

Goldman Sachs is pressing the deal thru and the SEC does not seem to be giving them one bit of a second look. Everything I have ever said about commissions in past threads can be further backed up in the article above. I feel the commissions only work for the companies that they are supposed to protect us from, nothing more and nothing less in my eyes.

Before anyone goes off trying to say that I do not support a free enterprise system, well you are WRONG! I do support a free enterprise system, but that doesn't mean that companies get to have comissions to help screw us over.

I am also taking matters into my own hands and I am going to close my account on Facebook.com now. I will not let my personal information be sold out!

Just permanently deleted my account with Facebook. What a process that is. Apparently when you "Deactivate" the account they still retain all of your information in case you want to re-open the account.

Obviously I had to log back in and use the "Help" link to navigate to the "Permanently delete my account" option, however even this will take 14 days.

I guess they need time to sell the information to the Russians, who for the most part are backing the Facebook deals. Lest we forget that Paul Thiel, the founder of "PayPal" is who initially backed Facebook. So I guess it goes without saying that Facebook is just as creepy as eBay/PayPal.

I guess I could encorage everyone else to delete their facebook accounts, but I am not that kind of person. After all if you like being sold out, and having your personal information that you share freely sold to the highest bidder then hey, knock yourself out.

Now I no longer have to write nasty things about Facebook and Mark Zukerburg, as in two weeks I will be off their grid. Sure, I realize they have copies of my photos that I have shared, and so do people out there that accessed them, but that's the last photos they are going to get of me and my family. NO MORE SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES FOR ME! PERIOD!

But I just checked and the one with the nice profile picture of you and your daddy in front of a car on blocks is still active. Rumor is you have even had family members try to friend that account. Luckily for you those requests have been denied. It seems the owner of that account is classy enough not to smear you in front of your family.

Well... It's like this, anyone dumb enough to believe that is my profile gets whatever they got coming to them. Also it's proof that the owner and employees of Facebook.com are not doing their job and in fact allowing fraudulent profiles to exist, if only to increase their "Member Standing". I can say this with certainty because I have reported that fake account someone set up and nothing was done.

Also I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with "Class" when it comes to not accepting friend request, as really both of us know that would be grounds for possible action by whomever you or your friends deceived. Really no one has anything on me, so even if you or your friends decided to friend people or family of mine it would be of no consequence to me. The fact that you or your friends set up a fake Facebook.com page is enough to prove you really don't have any class at all, but if you wish to masquerade around as Rex Umney, then so be it.

Seems to me Facebook.com, and other social networking sites are havens for identity theft, given the fact that anyone can register a user name under a "Real Persons" name and then do the kinds of things you and your friends are doing. I am from the old school that lives by the credo that "Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery". This is why I am not bothered one bit. My reporting of that fake account that went without any action by Facebook.com administrators was merely to note the violation should anything ever happen, from a liability standpoint.

The claims that Facebook.com makes with regards to 500 million users? Well I think it's safe to say that number is false, much like their financial valuation that would have people believe that Facebook.com (a software program) is worth more than Boeing. A laughable claim indeed. I am sure plenty of people will make a killing on this company before it's bubble pop's, but they won't be doing it with my name, information or participation.

So... Now what PowerStroker?

Any Facebook.com member who wishes to see what can happen to them, or simpily want proof that Facebook.com is not operating on the level by living up to their security obligations need only click on this link below

http://www.facebook.com/people/Rex-Umney/100001028434878

That there ladies and gentlemen is a fake user profile set up by PowerStroker, or his friends. Even though the account was reported Facebook.com will not remove the misleading fake account.

By the way, I do have a middle name. You might want to talk to the REAL Rex Umney when thinking your getting one over on me, as really you are just insulting the wrong person. LOL, the joke is on you.

I'm surprised you don't go by your middle name. Alan sounds much more respectable than Rex.

Take me for example. My first name "Power" demands respect.

Hey Nuffan, what were you saying about Facebook again?

Something about him having a better idea, or was it a better stock broker?
