In order to say Obama raised your taxes, he would have to sign legislation which results in a tax increase. If a deal isn't done, then Obama signs nothing, and taxes will increase automatically, because the legislative language (written by congress) had an expiration date.
You should check real hard in to John Boehner's negotiating on this subject before you go spouting your mouth off. You might also find it interesting that in the 1 year proposal set forth by your party, they include approval for the Oil pipeline from Canada to Texas which will create some temporary construction jobs, but raise fuel prices long term as Canada will then have the means to sell their tar sands to whomever in the world happens to be the highest bidder, and all thanks to the American tax payer.
Currently there is a surplus of oil iMidwestidwest because there isn't a good way for Canada to export much of their oil. This is helping ease fuel prices for you and me Rex. Are you saying you'd rather pay your tax dollars to eliminate that surplus? That's whaRepublicanslicans in DC want.

You know how many Union jobs that pipeline would generate? I subscribe to the "as long as it aint in my backyard" theory, and even then I live damn close to two nuclear reactors, so like I fucking care if some town has a pipe running thru it. I think we should use everyone else's oil before we use ours. If we can make money off of Canada's oil and get ours for less then it's a win/win. I am sure oil from Canada is going to be cheaper than oil from across the ocean, period.
