I was wondering who would be the first to bring this up.

That whole situation is a wait and see problem waiting to happen.

Well the news is reporting that Jimmy Carter officially sent his condolences to North Korea (true story, in the news now).

I'm sure the appeaser-in-chief is next...

The vast majority of the North Korean people are just fine, it's their leadership that oppresses them.

Kinda like when George W Bush was running this place.

At least "W" didn't go by the nickname "The One"

If that isn't an attempt to build a cult of personality in America, then I don't know what is !!

BTW I'd love to know of an PERSONAL examples of Bush-led government oppression that you PERSONALLY experienced during the period 2000-2008.

Care to share anything?

No No No.  McCain called him "THAT One."

Are you trying to accuse McCain of using racially charged language, akin to using "your boy" ?

So you must be feeling REALLY oppressed over the past 3 years, eh, given Obama's near-doubling again of the national debt.

Haha, SELLC he couldn't come up with a good answer.

PWNED again !!

Did Bush specifically target me? Ofcourse not, he screwd us all equally.

Bush's policies did a lot of damage to the country as a whole, and to our relationships around the world. The wars, the free trade deals, the tax cuts that weren't paid for, the lax oversight of the financial system and the enviornment, the erosion of civil liberties (domestic spying ect). The stacking of the court system and Justice Department with partisans. To say nothing of the missed opportunities in terms of investments that could have been made in infrastructure, education, and energy.

Bush, like Reagan, viewed government as the problem. He spent his entire presidency doing everything he could to prove that point.

How much more do you want?

It seems to me that Obama has done a great job of continuing many if not most of the 'oppressive' policies that you identify above, despite his campaign promises to dismantle them. Seems he had a change of heart (or was it a strong dose of reality) once he got into office, and actually saw the logic behind much of what Bush did. Wasn't Clinton responsible for NAFTA? Seems that your boy Barney Frank was largely behind the lending (Fannie/Freddie) laxness. Elena Kagan isn't a partisan justice?

What it all comes down to, is that all of these guys are cut from the same cloth, no matter what the letter is next to their name in terms of party affiliation....

I'm not saying that there is no hypocrisy on my side, certainly there is. The difference is, my side actually believes in good government, and isn't driven by a desire to shrink it to the size that it could be drowned in a bath tub. Nor does my side generally enjoy war profiteering.

Yes, Clinton did NAFTA, and Obama is doing some more which leaves me distraught. I guess it's better to get fucked occasionally rather than all the time though.

There's a pretty significant difference between believing in good government and BIG government (which is what you were actually trying to say ).

Democrats must be the offspring of the B-Ark people who mingled with cave men. The Republicans seem to be more down to earth.

Let's not kid each other, It's Obama's Fault!
