If Obama had a son....

He would be just like that Trayvon kid!

I wonder how that kid's dad felt about that statement? Kind of puts in perspective that joke "What causes mass confusion in the ghetto? Fathers day!"

Despite my feelings about how poor a job Obama has done with leading this nation he has done an excellent job of dividing it. Way to go Obama!

Children much younger and much more innocent are killed every day, but Obama just couldn't help but jump on the media wagon. I must admit that I too was somewhat upset when I heard about this kid getting shot, but that was before I found out that

(1) The media was using a 4 year old photo

(2) The media left out the part about the kid attacking the shooter

(3) The media left out the part about the kid being suspended from school for an empty bag of grass

(4) The media left out the links to the kids Facebook page which showed his "gangster" aspirations.

Now I have to wonder why a kid that was suspended from School was out running the streets anyway? If my kid was suspended from school his ass would be GROUNDED.

This is just a big mess made worse by Obama! Now it would seem that Obama's statements on the issue have spun the entire thing into a big race war! What a great guy that Obama!

(5) He was black.

So you were upset about it, untill you found out more about the victim?

Like the photo being 4 years old.  Yeah, if a dead guy isn't willing to keep more recent pictures of himself he surely deserves to die.

The recently released video of the shooter being brought in for questioning doesn't show any of the injuries he claims to have sustained.

I didn't relize being suspended from school for an empty bag that may have at one time contained pot was a capital offense.  I imagine now that we know it is, the line is going to be quite long for the death chamber.  I imagine even former presidents of both parties aren't exempt.

Gangster aspirations on his facebook page eh?  Is that worse than what you have on your page?

Nevermind the shooter is a loon who called the police more than 40 times last year and has been in trouble before for assaulting police and has had restraining orders placed on him.  Nevermind that Trayvon was simply walking home and tried to run away from the shooter when the shooter pursued him even though the police dispatcher specifically told him not to follow him.  Nevermind the shooter specifically told the police dispatcher that he is suspicious of Trayvon because he was black, and "they alwyas get away."

Why does this stuff always happen in Florida?  Is there something in the water?  Oh yeah, OIL from the BP/Trans Ocean/Halliburton debacle.  But we don't need any more regulations of oil companies or restrictions on gun sales or anything like that.  I'm sure this is just all Obama's fault right?

Nice try you racist!

Eh... I blame the parents for using the old photo. It's quite obvious Trayvon kept recent pictures of himself on various social sites.

The recently released video of the shooter being brought in for questioning doesn't show any of the injuries he claims to have sustained.

I am sure he cleaned his face up prior to being taken into police custody. What cop would transport a victim with a bloody face? Nice try.

Ironic how the police were not called to investigate that "empty bag of grass". I know around here anything like that requires the police to be called.

Gangster aspirations on his facebook page eh?  Is that worse than what you have on your page?

I dont have a facebook or twitter page, so WTF are you talking about? Oh that's right, you must be talking about that fake one you set up.

Nevermind the shooter is a loon who called the police more than 40 times last year and has been in trouble before for assaulting police and has had restraining orders placed on him.

The guy worked as a neighborhood watch, of course he called the police a lot! If anything it proves he was not one to take the law into his own hands. From what I understand about the assault charge Zimmerman was only trying to protect a friend. I am surprised you didn't bring up his speeding ticket that got thrown out because the cop didn't show.

Nevermind that Trayvon was simply walking home and tried to run away from the shooter when the shooter pursued him even though the police dispatcher specifically told him not to follow him.

He must either have really cool parents, or parents who just did not believe in disciplining their children. If my kids were suspended from school they would not be allowed to leave the house, let alone go to the store to buy candy. Again it boils down to poor parenting, which had they grounded the kid he might still be alive today.

Nevermind the shooter specifically told the police dispatcher that he is suspicious of Trayvon because he was black, and "they alwyas get away."

Records show Zimmerman was headed back to his truck when he was attacked. Of course who can belive the media these days?

Why does this stuff always happen in Florida?

You are pretty ignorant if you think Florida is the only place people get shot.

Is there something in the water?  Oh yeah, OIL from the BP/Trans Ocean/Halliburton debacle.

Getting a little off topic are we? How do you like them near $5 a gallon gas prices?

But we don't need any more regulations of oil companies or restrictions on gun sales or anything like that.

Nope!

I'm sure this is just all Obama's fault right?

Well at least you got one thing right! biggrin

If it comes to pass that Trayvon did NOT hit Zimmerman then I will agree that Zimmerman is a murderer and as such he should be charged, tried and then sentenced to the maximum penalty of the law.

But from what eye witnesses have said it appears to be self defence.

How can it be self defense if Zimmerman innitiated the incident and pursued Trayvon? If Trayvon hit Zimmerman I would argue that that was the self defense. Since when does self defense get to switch sides?

If I pick a fight with someone, and then I start to lose that fight, do I then get to claim self defense and shoot the guy?

So you are trying to say that by following someone that can be considered a "Fight"? Are you off your meds again PowerStroker? Or were you just drinking when you wrote that?

Oh and by the way,

NBC's "Today" show ran the edited audio of Zimmerman's phone

call to a police dispatcher, seeming to show Zimmerman saying, "This guy looks like he's up to no good he looks black."

A transcript of the complete 911 call shows that Zimmerman said, "This guy looks like he's up to no good. Or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about."

The 911 officer responded saying, "OK, and this guy is he black, white or Hispanic?"

"He looks black," Zimmerman said.

Yeah NBC screwd up on that one. I heard the unedited version from the begining, and still think that when the police dispatcher told him not to follow Trayvon, he should have listened instead of taking the law in to his own hands. By following Trayvon, it was Zimmerman who was the instigator. He wasn't "standing his ground"... he was advancing.

Some standards Brian Roberts of MSNBC has! No wonder he is such good buddies with people like Obama!

Meanwhile all of us get stuck with the results of their poor choices.

Hey SELLC,

Your views about parenting & the responsibilities involved are fair enough, & hold the "correct" values in accord, & it's good if not very surprising that your happy to post them here of all places LOL. However, I should remind you that peoples "life-circumstances" are not really for everyone to judge upon, & as a point, I'm sure that there are heaps of parents out there living ( successfully & some not quite so ), working & doing the best they can for their children, even if the relationship with the mother or father has failed. Some of these parents may well come from "parents of a broken marriage" and may not be able to understand what your trying to get across, since they have no experience of that way of life, & hence, you might well be unintentionally offending these "good" people.

Put simply, an individuals life can be ( & often is ) a very complicated one, & their fates might have had nothing to do with decisions made by themselves, but just the way "lifes-dice" happened to roll out for them. As long as your doing the best that you can for your kids is really all that matters, regardless of complicated circumstances.

However, throw the "media" into a situation that's really none of their concern, & they'll do whatever it takes to keep you watching the TV, buying the paper, turning on the radio etc. So really the true failure lies in all of "us", for feeding the parasites that make a living out of others miss-fortunes. Enough said, the world has been too crazy for a long time already !

Cheers,

Rastus

It would seem the Jury has spoken.

What say you PowerStroker? Was it a sympathetic Jury? Or just a Jury that started to feel imprisoned by serquester?

Perhaps it was the lies and twisting of the facts by MSNBC that started the fire that Obama would soon fan into an inferno. What does this verdict mean PowerStroker?

Nice to see that President Obama can pressure Local, State and Federal investigators to this matter but what about all the other kids (some much younger than Trayvon) who don't look like Obama?

The real injustice here is the fact MSNBC and Obama put such a racist spin on this tragedy from the start that it overshadowed everything else! I mean Obama literally put the "politics" in this trial and I am sure many of the Jurors were left wondering how come 15 days of their lives were taken because Obama wanted to try an innocent man who was defending himself.

Seems the original decision of the Local Police not to prosecute was in fact the right course of action after all. I just hope this brings closure for everyone and that people realize racism is not just exclusive to a single race.

But most of this falls in the Media's lap. Whenever the Media decides to make a circus out of a hearing it often times results in a not guilty verdict. Take for instance O.J. Simpson. That trial had even more coverage and as a result I feel it really forces the Jurors in a corner. I think had this trial not been headline news a different verdict would have been handed down. No one wants to come off as the bad guy on national TV and often times Jurors in highly televised cases can't seem to convict, if only because they know everyone is watching. Get a Jury outside of the Media and you notice something different... The Jury feels more opinionated, more willing to throw someone under the bus. Zimmerman didn't even testify at his hearing which usually does not bode well for anyone in a Jury trial.

It does not sit well with me (having kids of my own mind you) that a young man of 17 years was killed. Regardless of the circumstances the killing of young Trayvon is not something people of ANY race would consider acceptable. Obama called this a tragedy in his video above and I would have to agree with him on that statement.

If anything this caused me to talk to my kids about what it means to get in a fight with someone. You just never know and I tell them that fighting should only be a means of self defense and to avoid such altercations at all cost unless your life depends on it. But kids... You know how they are... That's what makes this a tragedy, because really he was just a kid not even 18 years old.

It pains me to say this, but better parenting could have prevented this. If Trayvons parents had never had gotten divorced none of this may have ever happened. People that have kids need to be more responsible and realize that when they have kids its no longer about them! Its about raising the family and sticking together! Nothing fucks up a kid more than getting stuck in the middle of a divorce and all the nasty shit that goes with it. It makes my blood boil just thinking about it.

There is no such thing as a bad kid! Just bad parents! I sure hope I can live up to my responsibility as a parent because its not always easy. Too many selfish parents that feel they dont have to make sacrifices to keep their family together. Too many irresponsible men and women having kids and not doing the responsible thing, which is to stick together and raise the family and thats the bottom line here.

I don't Judge Rastus.. I am a by-product of divorce. I'm just telling it like it is.

It only takes ONE parent to fuck the entire family, but often times it amounts to weakness. Here in America there is this big bullshit notion that marriage is just a piece of paper. How much someone should have to put up with before they divorce is a question they should ask themselves before they start having sex and making babies.

Kids that grew up without both parents are not exempt. They know what it felt like for them, and if they would do that to their own kids I'd say they deserved it!

I have ZERO sympathy for people who would bring kids into this world only to separate and fall short of their obligation of "For better or worse; till death do us part". Don't say it if you don't mean it!

What's my idea of a perfect family? One that stays a family, regardless of any drama or bullshit that may transpire, or as you would call it "lifes-dice". I know what Trayvon felt. He was angry and he had every right to be. He was let down by the most important people in his life that quit on him. That's the REAL tragedy here!

Racism... That's what the media is guilty of... That's what sells papers and keeps people watching the news. I feel strongly that when people watch the news and thrive on other peoples misfortune it's merely human nature in an effort to understand "WHY"!? If only to take away from it the wisdom not to repeat it or become a victim of it.

Unfortunately Rastus, too many people don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves.

I don't understand what you mean by "surprised that I am happy to post them here of all places"? What does that mean?

I guess after reading my post it would appear that some might have taken my theories out of context. I don't mean to say there is no hope for separated families, nor do I propose to suggest that people have control over things that their partner may do to cause such upheavals. What I am trying to illustrate is that a lot of people simply do not care about anyone but themselves, in that it just seems divorce has become almost too common. I just feel people are not trying hard enough and it's not fair to their own family. It's very unfortunate and as you said complicated in many cases. However, despite all of that I can't think of anything more uncomfortable and up heaving for a kid to have to deal with. I'm getting off the Zimmerman topic and into divorce, but I think it's important to realize what kids in a divorced family have to deal with,

First off they have to deal with the fighting and arguing aka the incident or incidents. Then often times there is a tug of war with the kid being used as a rope. The separation usually is a complete upheaval considering the "family" is broken. All of that's nothing compared to whats next, as the parents move on a meet new boyfriends/girlfriends. The kids could care less about these people, and just seeing them is a constant reminder of your familys failure. Yet just as before there isn't anything you can do about it. The upheaval and otherwise uncomfortable feelings will continue on forever as family functions become uncomfortable from that point on, graduations, weddings, holidays, and every important thing thereafter. I don't think people think of this, and it's quite obvious it becomes a vicious cycle that will never end. So while a divorced parent may feel better with separation, it would be an enormously arrogant and selfish for them to think the kids feel the same, even if most of them might not want to admit it.

So there it is. A possible reason why Trayvon went from what looked to be a happy innocent boy 4 years ago, to a young man angry and seeking attention and acceptance on the streets, instead of with the family. Take it for what it's worth!

Really these are just facts that are not just exclusive to me.  I don't feel any "stories" have been told that would constitute what you consider to be an "outpouring of emotion" as to any specific details of my personal life outside of the obvious situations one would expect from a family splitting in half.

Insight is just what I was aiming for with regards to why Trayvon seemed to be getting into a lot of trouble and why he may have been aggressive leading up to the fatal encounter with Zimmerman.

Clearly PowerStroker has nothing to add, which is no surprise.

I will respect the jury's decision.  Based on what little information I have from media reports, I was personally leaning toward a manslaughter conviction.  I am not privy to all of the evidence though, and I make it my policy to respect any verdict rendered by a jury of one's peers.  It's sometimes messy, and sometimes leads to false convictions, yet I believe our system of justice is a great example for the world.

Whether one agrees that Trayvon was assisanated or not, we should all be mindful that his character has been assasinated as a legal defense strategy.  It's too bad he's not here to defend himself from that.

Hey folks,

Powerstroker has possibly put the definitive ending to a tragic situation, and though the system is far from perfect, it's maybe better than it could otherwise be...Maybe a new law to prevent the press from entering/discussing proceedings before the jury's results are determined could be instated for the fairness of out-comes...

Cheers,

Rastus

Police: Man tried to steal plane for concert

Report: Suspect thought flying would be easy

August 1st, 2018by Lynn LaRowein Texarkana NewsRead Time: 1 min.
scottzamarcuis2202928382_t755_h4e436159c

A man arrested at the Texarkana Regional Airport on July 4 allegedly told investigators he intended to fly a stolen plane to a rap music concert in another state.

Asked about his lack of training as a pilot, Zemarcuis Devon Scott, 18, allegedly told Texarkana, Ark., police that he didn't believe there was much more to the task than pushing buttons and pulling levers, according to a probable cause affidavit used to create the following account.

It was about 2:30 a.m. when airport security personnel contacted police about seeing a man jump a fence and attempt to enter an American Eagle twin-engine jet. By the time officers arrived, the suspect, later identified as Scott, had gotten onto the small commercial plane and closed the door behind him.

When officers shined a flashlight into the plane's cockpit from outside the jet, they could see a man sitting in the pilot's seat with his hands below the window and out of direct view. Fearing for their safety, an officer drew his weapon and ordered the man to keep his hands up where they could be seen.

When the suspect turned his gaze toward the officers, two of them allegedly recognized Scott from past encounters. Two of the three responding officers got the plane's door open while the third continued to monitor Scott until he could be taken into custody.

On Monday, Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Chuck Black formally charged Scott with commercial burglary and attempted theft of property with a value greater than $25,000. Both offenses are felonies punishable by three to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

Scott is being held in the Miller County jail with bail set at $25,000. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carlton Jones. A date for Scott's arraignment on the charges hasn't been scheduled but he is expected to appear in court later this month.

I wonder what Obama's son would say about this?

Since Obama has been wadding back into the swamp ever so gingerly...

I guess Obama's son would say "Whatever takes the heat off my Dad's Watergate!"

What if the narrative flips and we get another George Zimmerman verdict? Can we expect more looting and riots?

Notice Omars 17 year old daughter in the riots? Her tweet asking for "supplies needed for my comrades in Minneapolis"

Notice DeBlasios son rioting too?

Notice vids of antifa walking around picking up loose bricks and smashing windows? Who staged the loose bricks? Who is funding (Nazi Soros) Who is pulling the strings?
