Obama never ordered surveillance of Trump... Which is not to say the Justice Department didn't pick up some of his conversations with Russia during their normal monitoring of communications to foreign countries.

If this was truly about how Comey handled the Hillary email investigation, then Trump wouldn't have been praising him for those actions just prior to the election. No my friend, that is the chosen excuse, but it is not really what this is about. You will soon see cracks in the Republican ranks and a bipartisan call for a special prosecutor or special council.

Thru Susan Rice, Trump Tower and then Presidential candidate Donald Trump was being illegally wiretapped and their identities unmasked illegally which is why you have Susan Rice clamming up on the stand refusing to testify. This information was not only made available to Obama but it was passed around the Democrats and leaked to the media which was highly illegal, much like Hillary's aid Huma who was emailing classified information to Weiner's laptop to be printed out! It's an outright joke the way Democrats handled national security and blatantly ignored privacy laws. It's all going to come out alright! Only this time we won't have that treasonous chump and his band of criminals in the position to hide it!

Get ready, because it is going to come out... And it's not going to be good for the Democrats who were involved!

You're right PowerStroker, I have never mentioned it in this forum... I had mentioned it earlier on in another politics forum I frequent.

At that time I was unhappy about the investigation into Trump with regards to the Russia connection and in the other forum I said that Comey served at the pleasure of the President and that he aught to fire him.

So forgive me as I have not made any direct mention of it here in this forum. You had clammed up there for awhile right after the election and I had to get my political digs elsewhere.

Yeah, the shit is getting real now that Trump fired the guy investigating him. It's like pouring rocket fuel on an already growing fire. Dems are considering withdrawing unanimous consent in the Senate unless a special prosecutor is appointed. If they do, it will basically bring the work of the Senate to a crawl because every single little thing will have to be voted on and be subject to debate and amendments. Essentially it would make it very hard for anything but the most basic legislating to be done. If that happens, even Mitch McConnell will begin calling for a special prosecutor.

Comey may be gone, but the investigation continues, and will even intensify. Many FBI agents liked Comey, and are motivated to avenge him. There is no way Trump can fire his way out of this mess.
