Not exactly a gun but funner than heck. I made it from a mobile home axel. Fits beer cans full of sand. 80 gr black powder gives about 100 yards. 240 grains puts them in orbit! I sold it though. It's all adjustable for windage, elevation.

Thanks Rex. That's a part of it is all! I also do old smokepoles. Have many. 5 of the "civil war" or close revolvers. Those are a blast.

Mortar was too fun! Even building it was awesome. Had a mill, lathe, everything I needed.

BTW, I qualify for the lounge? Not a master mechanic but wrenching all my life. I keep 13 or more internal combustion engines running fine. Parts counter? OK, welding supplybiggrin

Trust me, I have been trying to warm up the long timers in the forum to the idea, however they seem to feel that their near decade commitment merits more than just easy entry... some have suggested an elaborate hazing ritual that I had to decline on the basis of human rights preservation, however I am pretty sure if you get to know them they can initiate the vote and eventually get you in there.

In the meantime, if the need arises, I could make a special DH room that is private to the general public if things start getting very heated or crazy. Not sure the exact threshold of the company that handles our web forum, but I guess we will soon find out. They have been marvelous for over a decade so I'd imagine it should be smooth sailing until we get a liberal in here with hurt feelings.

I think they are just more or less worried about the location of Hoffa's body getting out...

I'll get to know them, that's the only way to do it right!
