That's the problem with liberal web forums... I have honestly come to the conclusion that these liberals are the most bigoted and anti-free speech people on the face of the planet! They are also the most racist!

Some of the newer forums that opened up once DH announced it was closing were high risk too, since these will often times be a waste of time due to rookies getting their rocks off on banning people.

And, this morning I have received the 2nd email from DH asking me to check out my new matches. The link to the site is dead.

This makes me think Stellar was right, and that unscrupulous actors are trying to harvest our information from the DH database in order to sell it To other unscrupulous actors for a final payday. I find this disturbing, to say the least.

That just means that the site is still alive in some way and still connected to the internet!

The DNS for datehookup.com is not resolving so you can't access it by way of the traditional address, however if you had the IP address that Match.com uses and the name of the landing page you might even still be able to access the site and search the forums.

It's very interesting that all of that forums data, it's user data, the conversations and photos would all be just tossed. Whoever IAC sells the old site or data to won't be the only one with it either as no doubt IAC and the insiders will retain a copy. You never know when one day someone on that forum might become famous or powerful, and as such the information could become worth a small fortune! Think Stormy Danials... They would know what type of person you like, and pretty much everything about you that was shared on the site. The persons who own IAC can access information much differently than an end user too... They can pull up more detailed views and search in ways that a regular DH user could not... They also have location data based off your IP address and of course for people using real email addresses like me, they have your email address.

My thoughts about information harvesting by unscrupulous actors was based on what I have said above, given the large amount of data they had in both user accounts, photos and messages. The "actors" I believed were Chinese at root because of this one particular time on DH when someone contacted me thru PM and asked for my email address. This user was Asian and did in fact communicate with me for several days via email, sending me photos and having an intelligent conversation with me about life in China. Towards the end of the emails they wanted me to join another site to communicate there since the emails they explained took too long as emails are somewhat slow compared to being connected with someone on a live site. Since this person had held up a intelligent conversation for several days and had also sent me many photos of her, none pornographic and all of them looking like the same person, I figured what the hell! They described it as the "Facebook" of China and the name of the site then was "Ga-Ga" with an Chinese extension.

Anyway, I joined the site without any issue. This site "Ga-Ga" was an "International" dating site with users from ALL OVER THE WORLD! All of them using their native language and all of it being in-house. You knew it was not an American site in any way by the way they called certain things. On the site I was blown back at all of the users and the sheer numbers of American members they claimed to have had. Communicating with people on that site was a lot like how it works on Tinder, however unlike Tinder which is a crude and basic method, this other GaGa site was in depth with forums and other things outside of just photos. 

After my first 10 minutes the site changed and suddenly everything was monetized. To send someone a heart icon it was the equivalent of $5 or some amount of money... If you wanted to chat with someone it was per line for the translation. Everything was monetized and downright expensive! They had some icons you could send to people in excess of $1,000 USD! In the back of my mind I could just imagine the sweat shop of Asians working in some small hut tricking gringo to give up some hard earned cash to chat with some she-man claiming to be this person right here,

Now my point is, all of our photos we shared could be used by people like this in other countries to trick people in Europe, Asia, Africa and even in America for similar such services... Our threads and accounts could be used as fluffer in the next big site to appear bigger than what it is... Ever swam out to the deep end of the pond on Mingle2.com? It says there 100's of thousands EVEN MILLIONS of threads but when you go back 1000 pages deep there is nothing there... Or is their? It could be all of our old post being cocooned into one forum to make it look bigger than it was. You never know..

I really want to do an in-depth thread about this Ga-Ga forum with the real emails between this person shown in the photos and the rest of the photos, but it would take time for me to do and I just don't have that right now.

BUT! That's the cliff notes version of the report I soon hope to write. What do you think so far?

After having six post deleted upon the first 30 minutes of being a member on M2, I decided that perhaps I should take a hint and quit posting...

I then ripped off one of their more interesting post and left the forums on M2 all together. This is shortly after I realized they couldn't handle Clarity, so I knew there was a snowballs chance in hell I was going to make it.

M2 is like a dive bar, minus the stale beer smell...

At least we still have the stale beer smell! LOL
