I was searching the local marketplace on Facebook last night, as I am always on the lookout for that nice vehicle in distress that needs some work at a great price. Anyway, I come across a vintage pair of shorts (or so I thought) and it brought back memories of the days when I was young and the cloths we purchased back in the 80's and 90's... so I expand my search to eBay to find me and the woman some vintage 80's and 90's cloths since everything we seem to buy for the kids now days is made in China, Vietnam or some part of Asia.

And wouldn't you know it? Them cool cloths we used to wear were indeed made in the USA!

Come to think of it, most everything was MADE IN THE USA back then, anything stamped made in China, Taiwan or even Japan was considered crap. So I am making this thread for anyone who want's to reminisce with me of the things that used to be MADE IN THE USA but are now almost exclusively made in China or some part of Asia.

Having been back to school shopping for our kids, I can tell you there is really not much in the ways of clothing that is Made in the USA anymore and most of the clothing you buy today, especially jeans are made of much thinner and cheaper materials. The cuts all seem to be $hit as well, and I am not talking about Italian fitting cuts - rather it's like there is NO fitment whatsoever. Everything is either super baggy or in the case of women's pant's now days SUPER TIGHT spandex like material. 

Anyway, I purchased the two items shown in the photo above, if only because I'd rather buy a used pair of vintage pants than waste $60 on a new pair of ill fitting and poor quality Levis that are also no longer made in the USA.
