All done with Nike!

Usually during the year there are a few times that I actually used to purchase Nike clothing, and even my son was buying their shoes regularly...

But that will all change from here on out! No more seasonal once a year $80-$100 jogging suits... No more shoe sales 3 times a year for my kids...

Nope... From now on it will be Under Armor!

Incase you have been living under a rock for the past week, Nike just announced they will be using that pathetic piece of shit, aka Kaepernick, to advertise their product!

I myself dont feel his performance on the field merits his disruptions during the national anthem. Furthermore as a paying customer and football fan I dont feel his abuse of customers during the anthem is acceptable. In my job there are a great many times Id like to be disrespectful to vent my frustration, yet in every instance I stick to just doing my job and saving my protest for this and other web forums.

For Nike to hire this scumbag Kaepernick only makes me question their motives, and as such I wont be sending them anymore business! In fact I am ashamed to even wear old Nike gear, even as grungy work clothing.

So what Nike is saying is that they support the disrespect of the US flag during the anthem, and that things like actual athletic skill are no longer needed to promote their brand... Well, thats all fine and dandy, as free as they are to be idiots, I am equally as free to no longer purchase their products.

Bye-Bye Nike!

When people like the disgraced former CIA Director Brennan start tweeting their support of the punk Kaepernick, it starts to make sense why he lost his security clearance!

But if that wasnt enough, Nike and Kaepernick have even made friends with Mahmound Ahamadinejad, who is the biggest and most vocal shit bag at any UN meeting - vocally calling for the demise of the USA in every breath! So much in fact he is known for having the entire UN exit while he rants on uncronroltably for hours.

Yes, Nike is the brand for losers... I can see why people are burning their stuff!

http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2018/09/04/colin-kaepernick-earns-support-from-strange-bedfellows-over-nike-ad.html

If people cant see what this Kaepernick is doing then they must think that poor performance and public temper tantrums are okay... If I had ever gotten down on one knee during the National Anthem as a kid my parents would have beat my ass for the embarrassment! After of course the entire team I was playing with kicked my ass, including the rest of the school. Its up to Americans - regardless of color - to stand up for our national anthem! While Kaepernick has a right to his opinions and freedom of speech, he is disrespectful to ALL people in his efforts!

Nike, for its part - is only interested in stirring up controversy to get their name out there again, much like Kaepernick himself... But as a consumer you have to do the right thing and put them both in their place! Boycott Nike! And keep boycotting them until they issue a public apology!

Should I boycott Trump merchandise and hotels until such time as he apologizes for groping women without their consent?

Or are we not going to apply the same standard in this case?

Are you purchasing Trump merchandise and staying in Trump hotels?

You have to actually be using the service or merchandise to boycott.. Just an FYI..

In my case, I purchased at least one expensive winter Nike sweat suit, several Nike t-shirts and 3 pairs of Nike shoes for the kid a year. But not anymore.

No, I haven't been purchasing any Trump stuff, but then again, I didn't even before he became a politician.

In your case I just think it's a little bit of an overreaction. If the quality of the product is still good, why does a corporation have to agree with you on every single issue before you buy from them? I would imagine there are a great number of Nike employees that agree with you, but will be hurt by your decision.

It's likely a temporary ad campaign anyway. For all we know next month they'll decide to only use white nationalists in their commercials, would you still boycot then?

With regard to Kaepernick, from what I can tell, he does love the U.S. very much, but is feeling disenfranchised by a president who has been supportive of white nationalism, and thus has a moral dilemma when it comes time to stand for the National Anthem. He is not alone, and the issue has been causing conflict among many professional athletes. I actually don't see kneeling as a sign of disrespect, it's not like he's giving the finger or anything, he's just engaging quietly in a peaceful protest which is a Constitutionally guaranteed right, and adds to the national dialogue on issues that otherwise may not get the attention they deserve. That Nike respects a man who doesn't just go through motions during a time of perceived disenfranchisement in order to make everyone feel good, is in my mind pretty cool.

If them white nationalist dont stand for the national anthem and start making a circus out of the NFL then yeah, Id boycott them!

Its ridiculous and if Nike thought it was funny, then we will see who gets the last laugh. Sorry for the many people who work for an idiot company, feel for them. Its not like Nike is made in the USA anyway, so who really cares! I been buying old used USA made Guess clothing and couldnt be happier! You cant buy that stuff anymore brand new and made in the USA and you do end up buying a lot of stuff that does not fit but someone else just buys it later so it all works out to me saving some major coin and sporting USA made clothing.

Who wants to be wearing around a symbol of unpatriotic racism? Not me! Fuck Nike! Anyone else caught making a statement on company time would be FIRED, but for some reason this guy is different? He talks about racism like more than half the NFL isnt black! Even when he did play, he wasnt any good! This loser had to resort to childish tantrums to garner his attention and for Nike to further promote that nonsense isnt respect! Kaepernick is selling out, PLAIN AND SIMPLE! He is also disrespecting his own people to sell out as I dont see a majority of the black people in the NFL with moms and dads who would file onto the fields and kick their asses for kneeling, kneeling. I guess all that can be said of Kaepernick falls back on a poor upbringing because what kind of spoiled brat would carry on like that?

I can assure you Ill think about this every time I see the Nike logo, it wont be forgotten. That swoosh they use is me leaving them! Kaepernick is an out of work BUM, panhandling from the likes of Nike who is more than happy to encourage civil unrest and disrespect for our fallen. I am honestly going to sharpie black the little tiny swooshes on my jogging outfits, which will now be work cloths or rags. Might even make a video mopping up some oil with a pair! LOL

Oh and it looks like Nikes stock took a knee today...

https://www.thewrap.com/colin-kaepernick-nike-stock-loses-4-billion-market-cap/

With 3.8 billion in market cap loss as a result of this decision, its clear that everyone of every color agrees - Kaepernick is an idiot!

If players are claiming a 1st Ammendment right to freedom of speech as the reason they can't be punished for taking a knee. And if you're suggesting that players should be compelled to stand during the National Anthem or be fired, isn't that technically considered compelled speech then?

Wasn't it the argument of your side in the case of the baker who didn't want to bake a cake for a gay wedding, that speech cannot be compelled in a free country?

If baking is speech, then so is kneeling. Whatever the standard is, it should be applied to all. If Kaepernick has to stand, your baker has to make cakes with 2 penises on top.

You have some splaining to do boy.

Some baker not making a cake for whatever reason isn't the same as a nationally televised football league! We have kids all over the country now that decide to sit during the pledge of allegiance, and some of them don't even really understand why they are doing it - just that some pro-ball player did. So Kaepernick is making a nation full of crybabies who lack any respect...

What if Nike ran this ad?

"Nike chooses to pour gasoline on the smoldering fire. And let's be completely honest here: Nike isn't 'honoring' Kaepernick, they are intentionally stoking the embers of a divisive issue to try to sell shoes," Barron said. "The losers here are the NFL and its fans."

Yo,

I'm still wearing some New Balance sneakers that I must have bought over 5-years ago, & they still look good & work well. Not worn out at all. ( I must admit that I often have "Ugg-boots" on at home, or riding boots since I'm about to go for a ride )...

I had Puma "Cells" before these, & they lasted for ages...And are now my gardening/work shoes...They're held together with gaffer-tape lol, but super comfy...

Years & years ago, Adidas had these sneakers called "Rome", they were essentially all white leather, with 3-blue stripes either side of the lace fitting. These were incredibly comfy & popular ( even though they had a thin sole ), & I remain perplexed why they discontinued them. Used them for at least 10-years straight when I was a teenager & still miss them now.

Lets take this Nike issue to the next level..

Since Colin Kaepernick has the right to kneel during the National Anthem does this mean the players of the NFL have the right to cover up any logos or mention of Nike on their uniforms during the games?

I mean its pretty much the same thing, right?

Being a Nike consumer, also as someone who pays for my kids Nike stuff (which WAS a lot), I cannot sit idly by and allow Nike off the hook.

I had a pair of old Nike sweatpants that were threadbare in places that would have been used as a rag anyway, but the point here is that before the disrespect by Nike I'd have felt bad about seeing them get used as a rag, but now I seem to enjoy it. That's a pretty solid message to be sending to a company, because it won't just be this old pair that I use as a rag, their replacements will either be Everlast or Under Armor, or maybe some new to the market American made brand... who knows! But I can tell you they won't be Nike!

I used to be proud to wear my Nike Swoosh clothing, but not anymore! Not on my watch!

Nike stock hits all-time high after Colin Kaepernick ad

Jonathan Berr CBS News        https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/nike-stock-hits-all-time-high-after-colin-kaepernick-ad/ar-BBNko0G?li=BBnbfcN

Shares of Nike reached an all-time high Friday afternoon, rebounding from a recent dip spurred by concerns about consumer boycott after the athletic apparel maker signed a high-profile deal with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The company's stock rose slightly on Friday, closing at $83.49. Since Nike announced the campaign on Labor Day, shares are up about 4 percent. Longer-term, Nike stock has surged 33 percent this year as Wall Street bet that the company would be able to ride out the negative publicity. Online sales of Nike gear jumped 31 percent from Sept. 2 through Sept. 4, nearly double the company's sales during the same period a year ago, according to Edison Trends, a digital commerce research company.

Kaepernick gained notoriety for kneeling during the national anthem to protest police shootings of unarmed African Americans. He opted out of his contract in 2017, although there were reports the San Francisco 49ers were preparing to cut him during the off-season. Subsequently, the quarterback claimed in a lawsuit that the NFL's 32 teams colluded to deny him a chance to play for another team. The case is currently in arbitration.

The ad features a close-up of Kaepernick's face and the tagline "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything." The spot proved polarizing, with some consumers voicing their displeasure by burning Nike merchandise. President Donald Trump, who has frequently criticized the anthem protests,  denounced Nike's campaign for sending a "terrible message."

"In my view, fans believe it is disrespectful to kneel during the national anthem," wrote Christopher Arps, a member of the conservative Project 21 national advisory council, at the conservative publication The Daily Caller. "We don't want to see or hear someone's political speech or opinions. We want to escape for a few hours to watch great athletes entertain us. Especially when we've paid a lot of money to watch."

The Kaepernick campaign, however, is resonating with the company's core customer base, such as millennial and Generation Z men, "in a way that is authentic, culturally relevant, experiential and emotionally engaging," according to Wedbush Analyst Christopher Svezia.

In a recent client note, Svezia pointed out that Nike gained around 170,000 followers on Instagram in the wake of the campaign. The Kaepernick ad could become the company's most-liked Instagram post, drawing a record number of comments, although many of those remarks were critical of the company.

"In the end, the net follower gains and possible record likes by Americans, as well as the company's consumer demographic, lead us to believe that the Kaepernick ad campaign was a positive for the brand and likely its sales," writes Svezia, who rates Nike "outperform."

Svezia's view is backed up by recent polling data from Harris which found that 29 percent of young men said they would buy Nike products in the future because of the Kaepernick spot, compared with 19 percent of consumers overall. Consumers who identified themselves as conservative opposed the company's decision while liberals supported it.

Nike ranks 10th among U.S. companies for brand relevance, according to a survey of 3,000 millennials from brand and marketing consulting firm Prophet. The apparel company's willingness to "push the status quo," the quality of its products and its ability to inspire people are reasons why the brand draws consumers, said Jesse Purewal, an associate partner in the firm.

Controversy can help get consumers talking about a brand, Purewal said. "You are going to invite people to participate in the dialogue that your brand has begun," he noted.

Nike, which has stood by other athletes involved in controversies such as golfer Tiger Woods, is one of the few brands that is highly rated by consumers across demographic categories, said Prophet Chief Growth Officer Scott Davis.

A spokesperson for Beaverton, Oregon-based Nike couldn't be immediately reached for comment.

I am sure there are a great deal of liberals who went out and bought Nike when this whole thing first got announced. Meanwhile I been trying to coax my kid into returning his Nike stuff he got for school (90 day return policy) but he doesn't seem too interested and claims they are pre-Kaep Nike... My woman, who always sticks up for the youngest regardless questioned what we would tell the people when returning the stuff as he claims it all fits good, I told her to tell them the shoes hurt the kids feet when he stands for the national anthem. LOL (got that in the DH section). Regardless I would personally take them back just for the entertainment and satisfaction aspect alone. Problem is the kid just doesnt want to return them as he hates shopping - which I can't blame him.

What Nike has done will have a lasting impact and over the long term I think you will find the general image of Nike has been tarnished for some short term gains. Already with the likes of Tiger Woods, you add in Colin Kaepernick and you can see Nike is taking the path of the loser... Then again there can only be ONE winner, so there are a whole lot more losers than winners - statistically speaking... unless of course you are a liberal, then everyone gets a trophy.

Already they have lost my business, which pretty much means when the next round of shopping goes down this Christmas there are a lot of other people like me who simply will not buy their clothing anymore. I also won't allow it to be bough with my money in the future for any of the kids - and I have made this clear to them. They can keep what they have but that is the last of it - so they better start looking at other brands. Over time people will pull sponsorships, slowly - much like how Kaepernick slowly kneeled himself out of a job. Nike really picked the wrong kind of people to piss off too, because most proud Americans won't forget this! It was an extremely bad business decision for Nike to try and exploit the controversy given the merits. Nike might as well hire OJ Simpson as a spokesperson now too, as OJ is no longer playing ball either, so what is the difference?

In all honestly Nike is trying to corner the hooligan market, which Nike will soon find is much less wealthy than the group of red blooded and hard working Americans who find their recent ads highly offensive. Getting the last word in amounts to cutting off the money and you can take it to the bank that sales will suffer as the image has been tarnished with the kind of people who never forget. As brands like Under Armor, Adidas and others take a nice chunk out of Nike's bottom line during holiday and back to school shopping in the future. You noticed Nike waited until AFTER all the kids went back to school before announcing this, right!? You know why? Because they know they gambled on short term gains that would have cannibalized there bottom line seriously had parents known about this PRIOR to buying the Fall 2018 back to school clothing. But guess what, there is Christmas and winter shopping coming up - so we will just see about that PowerStroker.

Nike might like the controversy and free publicity but a good portion of it's customers do not! In a situation like this both people are going to get screwed - Nike and the consumer!

But unlike these sisters, Nikes customers they chose to disrespect have other options and are in no way joined at the hip.

Are you going to boycott Victoria's Secret now too?

GOP Donor Les Wexner Announces Departure From Republican Party After Obama Visit

 Sebastian Murdock,HuffPos
Les Wexner, seen in 2016.

Ohio billionaire and longtime Republican donor Les Wexner says he is officially done with the party, and was prompted to leave after former President Barack Obama visited the state.

Wexner, the CEO of retail conglomerate L Brands, which owns Victorias Secret and Bath & Body Works, announced at a leadership summit in Columbus on Thursday that he wont support this nonsense in the Republican Party anymore, The Columbus Dispatch reported.

The announcement, made at a panel discussion, came the same day Obama visited Columbus before heading to a rally in Cleveland to support Democrat Richard Cordrays run for governor.

I was struck by the genuineness of the man; his candor, humility and empathy for others, Wexner said of Obama.

Wexner said hes been telling lawmakers that he is now an independent.

I just decided Im no longer a Republican, he said.

Last year, following a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, Wexner condemned the racists in a speech to his employees. He said Trumps tepid response to the violence in which a white supremacist killed counterprotester Heather Heyer  made him feel dirty and ashamed, the Dispatch reported.

In a speech in Illinois earlier this month, Obama also called out Trumps lukewarm response to the violence, in which the current president said there were very fine people on both sides.

How hard is it to say Nazis are bad? Obama said.

Wexner has long donated to Republican causes, including cutting a check to Jeb Bush for $500,000 in 2015 during Bushs presidential run. The billionaire philanthropist has also donated $2.8 million to With Honor, a super PAC that endorses both Republican and Democratic candidates.

During the panel discussion Thursday, former Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman praised Wexner for standing up to his former party, the Dispatch reported.

If you dont think things are right, open your mouth, Wexner responded.

You must have been reading my mind PowerStroker! I was literally going to make a thread about this bozo Wexner!

Of course this bozo Wexner is going to hate on Trump! He owns Victoria Secret! I have removed a MANY pair of VS drawers from the ladies over my four decades on this planet and I have also purchased a great many of their items for women as well. In all them decades do you know how many times I have seen the words Made in USA on their clothing? NEVER! NOT ONCE! Of course this guy is going to hate Trump! His business might have to tow the line and employ some Americans to make his products, which means he can no longer capitalize on the cheap labor of all the 3rd world nations he has taken advantage of at American's expense to enrich himself! And I know the Democrat answer to this problem is the same as everything, "everyone does it". Well, that may have been the case, but only because American Politicians weren't doing anything to dissuade it! Under Clinton and Obama they were actually encouraging it!

Unlike you PowerStroker, I don't wear woman's clothing - nor do I shop at bath and body works... So it will be real easy to boycott Wexner's companies!

People aren't as stupid as you would like to think PowerStroker! They can read between the lines just like me! They might surprise you and your liberal goons - sort of like how they did in 2016!

Nike's Market Value Surges By $6 Billion After Controversial Kaepernick Add

Dominique Mosbergen

Contrary to President Donald Trumps claim that Nike would get killed by its decision to sign an endorsement deal with former NFL player Colin Kaepernick, the sportswear giant appears to be thriving.

As CBS News reported Friday, Nikes market value has surged by nearly $6 billion since the company unveiled Kaepernick who sparked controversy as the instigator of protests by NFL players against racism and police brutality as the star of a provocative ad campaign

The campaign was immediately controversial and Nikes stock initially tumbled more than 3 percent. Some customers burned Nike shoes and other gear and announced boycotts of the brand. Trump, who has harshly criticized Kaepernick and other athletes for taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem as a gesture of protest, lambasted the ad campaign as sending a terrible message

Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts, the president tweeted in the days after the ads launch.

Nikes share prices were quick to rebound from that initial dip, however, and in recent weeks have been performing near an an all-time high, CBS said.

The company has sold out 61 percent more merchandise since releasing its Kaepernick ad, Reuters reported last week. Nike also discounted fewer products in the 10-day period after the ad compared to the 10-day period before its release.

[Nikes] new Just Do It ad campaign with Colin Kaepernick was a stroke of genius, said Camilo Lyon, an analyst with financial services company Canaccord Genuity, according to Reuters. This premeditated move was another subtle but significant sign of Nikes strength and confidence in its position in the marketplace.

Good, I hope all them anti-Americans keep up the good work so Nike can donate even MORE money to the GOP

https://sports.yahoo.com/nike-donated-three-times-much-money-republicans-democrats-year-161529995.html

Ill also state that Nike is still using numbers from sales related to back to school! They waited until AFTER people purchased school cloths to roll out with this Colin nonsense. I think you will find these short term gains will be nothing compared to the long term losses that Nike will feel over time. We can revisit this next year about this time and see where the stock is...

In the meantime, just know Nike is giving more to the GOP than Democrats! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

That is the best part PowerStroker! With conservatives no longer buying Nike products (or at least patriotic ones), that means the shank of the money donated to the GOP will be coming from liberals!

And FYI, when I donate to the GOP its done directly... For example I recently donated to a local GOP candidate, John James. I did not buy any Nike products to do this either.

I wonder if a conservative boycott will cause Nike to rethink their political contributions? It seems they are playing chess instead of checkers there. Hell, If all I needed to make an extra 6 BILLION dollars is piss off the far right, I'll take that deal all day and twice on Sunday.

If Nike is playing chess here in the USA it just gave up the queen with their support of Colin.

Oh and it looks like Nikes stock took a knee today...

If Nike is doing so well with Kaepernick then why is the share price stuck at 73.35 and projected to go much lower? It was a little over 83 before Nike hired Kaepernick.

We will keep an eye on it.

With regard to Kaepernick, from what I can tell, he does love the U.S. very much, but is feeling disenfranchised by a president who has been supportive of white nationalism , and thus has a moral dilemma when it comes time to stand for the National Anthem.

Kaepernick KNEELING was before Trump was elected...Trying to tie it to Trump just shows how ignorant you really are...Obama was president when he kneeled...so to claim he was feeling disenfranchised by a president who has been supportive of white nationalism you were referring to Obama?

Now I agree...He has a 1st amendment right to kneel...

But NFL teams have also right to avoid a player who generates controversy...it is a distraction and a detriment to his JOB he was being paid to perform...

He has freedom of expression...he does not get freedom of consequence...

I too have stopped buying Nike brand products...

They took a stand in hiring Kaepernick...That is their right...

Many of us will also take a stand to no longer buy their products...

But the irony is PRICELESS...

Kaepernick who wants to champion such a cause is in the end hired by a corporation that EXPLOITS people for profit...

Well...well...well, how times change!

It would seem the shoe is on the other foot in todays times... Seems Adidas is having it's "Nike" controversy... and that's really all that it is.

Would you be shocked to hear that Nike, a company that supported what many to be condsidered "Anti-American" kneeling during the national anthem by Colin Keputzernick and others is now seeing one of it's original founders pour MEGA-DOLLARS into the GOP? Am I the only person who finds this ODD? Republicans don't want no anti-American Nike shit! Just like Jews everywhere will be throwing out their Adidas!

I personally wore out ALL of my Nike gear by using it as work clothing and I have no plans on buying any more Nike, EVER! I'd also like to kick Gillette to the curb for trying to cancel male toxic masculinity, but I have yet to find a better replacement razor.

Clearly we have people trying to cancel Adidas for the sole purpose of hurting Kanye West... because he don't like Jews.

It's just a damn shame that ALL of this is nothing more than an advertisement campaign for these companies... they don't give a fuck about America, Jews, Kanye or anyone else! They just care about their bottom line!

Adidas ends partnership with Kanye West over antisemitic comments

https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/adidas-ends-partnership-kanye-west-over-antisemitic-comments

Welp, can't say we didn't all see that one coming...

I never bought Adidas anyway, I've always been more of a Sketchers kind of dude... I don't need no fancy celebrity endorsement to know a good pair of shoes or flip flops when I see them! LOL

And I don't need to advertise Nike's "Swoosh" because they never canceled Colicie Kap! Naw, they just let him shit all over anyone who respects the United States National Anthem! You see how that works?

FUCK EM' BOTH... over-priced garbage! Serves them both right for paying some idiot to endorse their product! Just think how comfortable their shoes could be, and how long they coud last if they put that money they pay these celebrates into their product!? Or even better yet, to LOWER THE PRICE!?

No... that makes WAY TOO MUCH fucking sense...

You never listen to a brokerage! They just get everyone else in possition so their top executives can clean house!

Then they just say, "Well there are risks in the market, sorry!"

Fuck them assholes! It's all a fucking scam! That is why even if it's just $100, I'll turn and burn that stock 10 times a year if need be!

You only get taxed on the money to MAKE in the market, right? Not the money you initially invested?

Kanye West Escorted Out of Skechers Headquarters After Showing Up Uninvited

Alex Young

Skechers, which is owned and operated by a Jewish family, unsurprisingly has no interest in partnering with West. Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West, the companys spokesperson added. We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. Again, West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.

As for why there was a camera crew?

We know why Kanye took a camera crew,
