Democrats were recently given the power of the purse, and they aim to make everyone suffer unless we allow illegal immigrants and drugs to pour across the border!

You do realize the government was already shut down BEFORE the Democrats won the House right? I mean, it wasn't that long ago so I hope you can remember if you think really hard about what actually played out within your own party.
Typical Democrat lies out of PowerStroker! Democrats WON the house back in early November dufus! They shut down the government in late December when Chuck and Nancy were given fair warning about what would happen if they didnt approve funds for the wall, just a few short days before the newbies were sworn in.

The election happens in November, but they didn't take power until January. Republicans still had both houses of Congress when the government shut down. My facts ARE straight thank you very much?
Trump sat your little Pelosi and Schumer down and explained to them exactly what was going to happen BEFORE they took power. What we have now is the result of Democrats who had fair and advanced warning.

In that little meeting, Trump stated that HE would be the one shutting down the government, that he would proud to do it, and told Chuck that he (Trump) would take the blame for it.
So you agree now that it happened BEFORE Democrats took power in the House, good, because that's what I said.
By the way, Congress is a CO-EQUAL branch of government, so how do you know exactly who sat who down? Fair and advanced warning of a shut down (which occoured before Dems took the House) only matters if Nancy and Chuck give a flying fuck what Trump thinks, and I find that unlikely.
All of America is well aware that Democrats were given fair notice of how to end the shut down once they took office... They did not, and thus they are now carrying the torch.. If the President feels we need a wall, and the people elected him to erect a wall - then damn it, what is your guys problem? You were all for the wall until Trump made it a priority! If anything it just shows how a Democrat can not be trusted with the purse.

The optics of who is paying for what are irrelevant... Mexico will end up paying for it one way or the other, be it directly or indirectly... How much is it costing Mexico right now to house all them migrants in the caravan? Quite a bit huh?
The idea that it would be cheaper to let people cross into the country illegally is just crazy! Id feel better knowing there was at least a barrier / obstacle at the border... Some nice cameras and warning systems so that we can better focus our border patrol man/woman power.
